Here's an article about Medical Redshirting (no such thing really), called Hardship Waiver:

http://www2.ncaa.org/media_and_events/association_news/ncaa_news_online/2005/06_06_05/association_wide/4212n11.html

"The criteria is the same for the most part in Division III, except a student-athlete must not have participated in three contests or one-third of the institution's scheduled games. "

Tristan Murray has 1 year left but I do not know if he  intends to come back next year.

Lance Phillips has been "redshirted" and will have 4 years of eligibility left.

I believe Rummell can come back next year because the injury occurred before the completion of the third game.

Pat Coleman

In fact, since a third of 10 games is 3.33333 games, he could have played in the fourth contest as well and still qualify for the medical redshirt. He should be fine.

WABASH ALWAYS FIGHTS!!

Where?  I'm not seeing it...

It's time to get serious about Witt/Wabash.  Honest answers here...as you mull over statistics and see how the two teams match up, doesn't it look more and more like Witt is going to have to play a near perfect game to win on Saturday?  Murray is very good, but he's just one guy.  Witt's top receiver has VERY pedestrian statistics this season.  So pedestrian in fact, that Witt's best receiver compares most favorably to Wabash's fifth best receiver.  We know Earlham and Hiram can't score on Witt's defense, but we also know that Earlham and Hiram can't score on anybody.  We also know anybody with any sort of capable offense certainly can score plenty on Witt's defense.  How does a team with one dimension on offense and a very suspect defense stay with a team like Wabash?

I'm just having a hard time seeing it.  Go Bash.

There's a preview in the weekly sports press release that's linked from the left hand bar on the sports page.

Thanks, Wally, for the info to gobash.  Can't argue with your assessment on the Bash/Witt match-up and comparative statistics.  I think we are clearly the better team--still, Witt will come in with fire in their eyes, if they lose a game in-conference, '05 is over for them.  They will come to play.

The Little Giants are motivated and focused, too, and loose.  But, we cannot afford to make mistakes on either side of the line.  We have been able to overcome some mistakes in earlier games--I would hope to avoid them against Witt.  If they have people back healthy, with their backs against the wall, Witt will be a dangerous team.  I'm sure C.C. and his coaching staff have emphasized that this week.  If they're healthy, Witt is a better football team than they were early in the season.  They haven't played anybody in the last three weeks.  Will that work to their advantage, or ours?  I expect a good ballgame on Saturday at Hollett.

Go Bash!  WABASH ALWAYS FIGHTS!!

Bashdad:
Good luck Sat.  Hope it is a great game and a 'bash win.

Wally:
Here's your 'Bash's chance to "Bash" Witt on Saturday. ;D

Bashdad:
Thanks in return!  No, your not weasling - that's understandable ;)!  Adrian will indeed be tough; we'll see what happens.

Anyway, yeah, a hot dog sounds good and hope you enjoy yours!  Also, I know what you mean about Wiit - even though 'Bash is at home, they need to be ready.  I do hope that the weather man is wrong and the fantastic fall weather continues for at least a couple of more games!  Hope Hollett Stadium rocks this weekend!  Talk to you later.

Well, the Wabash -Witt game is too far away. And Wooster is at Oberlin.  So we are going to the second most important game in the NCAC this weekend. OWU-KENYON. A nice drive in Amish country. Should be fun.

Kenyon 27

Is Gambier in Amish country?   ???

David Collinge

Yeah, that caught my eye too.  Speaking from the very heart of Amish country, I can tell you that Wooster is a lot more Amish (and closer to "Amish country") than Gambier.  That makes me wonder where you are coming from: someplace to the east, like New Philadelphia or Canton?

Regardless, the drive to Gambier (and the afternoon on Kenyon's beautiful campus) should be gorgeous with the fall colors near their peak.  In fact, I might go as well.
