... the offense may score enough points it won't really matter.

Cap may not be the ideal opponent to break in 5 new starters on the o-line. The offense had a few "issues" when faced with some OAC pressure last time out. Hope my concerns are unfounded.

Oberlin is all over Kenyon.  21-0, Yeomen with 8:09 left in the 1st half.

UPDATE: The Yeomen put some stank on it in the fourth quarter and win 42-0.  Kenyon had just 107 yards of offense.  Fine start for Oberlin.

14-0 DePauw at half.  Pretty blah half offensively.  Schweir 15/25 for 147 & an INT.  DePauw has 14 carries for 49 yds.  One of their scores is an INT return.  D has been good against a bad offense.  80 total yards for RHIT with 2 turnovers.

EDIT: RHIT engineers (Ithankyou) a 99 yard drive when DePauw fumbles going in.  14-6.  Commence handwringing.

34-yard field goal by OWU is GOOD.

DePauw wins 23-13.  Much better in the second half, actually.  They turned it over a couple times down close, which cost them a bigger winning margin.  Schweir went 14/17 for 129 yds in the second.  DePauw still struggled on the ground.  Defense wasn't too bad.  Gave up the one long drive when DePauw fumbled on the doorstep, but pretty good otherwise.  Lot to work on, but the offense really seemed to click for a while there after half.  They chewed a ton of clock, too.

Boys and girls: I watched most of the first half of Rose Hulman and DPU on Home Sports Network before Witt came on. Up to that point it was kind of a tedious game, except DePauw locked up their win with an int and a short punt return. Maybe it's my computer breaking down, but the video was execrable-proceeding in fits and starts and breaking off of the picture missing entire plays or sequences. The picure quality was excellent-crisp and clear even in full-screen, but!
If that's what we're going to get from Home Sports for our home games, I despair.

If I may ask, is Oberlin significantly better this season, or has Kenyon dropped off (or both)?

We play Oberlin later this season.  We've beaten them about 26 straight times, but their final score today has me a bit worried.  They could prove to be a very tough matchup.

We were lucky to win today over JCU.  Two of our TDs came off of defensive returns (INT and fumble recovery respectively).
