Not sure why Baseball has it there either. It is also a week or two earlier than most conferences. I think the only earlier one is the UAA. But the UAA it not for a automatic bid into the post season.

In my haste...I know Marietta College is in Marietta, Ohio....But, still..
Having the NCAC in Chillicothe?? The last time I was in that town, it took
2 days to get the smell from the paper plant out of my clothes.....
If anyone plans on going to the Tourney....make the drive and stay in Columbus.

Bishopleftiesdad

If OWU makes the tournament I will be making the drive down. As I live in Columbus it should not be a problem. At worst we will find a campground and stay there.

eagle...I hate to break this to you, but OWU is going to be in trouble regardless of what Witt does with Espinosa.  I'm having a hard time finding a scenario under which OWU can outscore the Tigers.

They've had the baseball tournament each of the last two years in Chillicothe.  Why should Wittenberg get the homefield advantage with the NCAA bid on the line every year?  No thanks.

From what I understand the baseball field at Chillicothe is a pretty nice field, its a minor league stadium and I believe it has field turf (Easier maintenance especially when there's crappy weather like we had this past spring).  That probably played a factor into why they are playing there.

I'm for neutral sites at any tourney if possible. Also for playoffs, but I know the NCAA would scream about it for football. Because we don't make enough money - and when they get the D-1A football playoffs going we still won't make enough money for them.

Here is some info on the stadium.

http://www.chillicothepaints.com/paints_stadium.shtml

It hosts the Paints which is a summer woodbat team in the prospect league. It also host several other Touney's including the MAC and the GLIAC.

The NCAC holds theirs at the end of April. The others in May. Probably why the NCAC's is so early.

Even though I was a 4-year baseball guy, why are talking about baseball: whether tournaments, stadiums, etc???  I literally thought I was on the wrong message board - hahaha.

P.S.  By-the-way...Our (Wabash) Tight End can hit a baseball farther than anyone else in the conference!  :)

aueagle

wally, I know the game should be over early in the 2nd QT. But, what I do want to see, is how
a young Bishop team stays together with some composure against a veteran Tiger squad.
And, why now rotate the baseball tourney, so every school gets a shot at being host. Local economies get dollars and it might force some schools to upgrade their facility.

For serious.

Where's all the inside info on Bash's scrimmage? Why aren't any Witt fans barking about that two-day fireworks show? What's the mood like in Woosterville?

Anyone got a link to the Wabash media guide?

Okay. These questions. Go.

I blame Gheny's loss on the new helmets. They only have logos on the right side. Had to throw the guys off.  ;)

They should try these helmets..... a bunch of stuff on all sides... and a nice win is the result

While Allegheny did win 28-0 last year, I remember watching and not being particularly impressed.  Starting over at QB this year, I'm not shocked that they struggled to score points...even against Bethany.

Nice win? A Miami squad hobbled by suspensions and stunned by the sight of that...that...mess....
