Why should you go for it on 4th down?

The All-Sports trophy is nice for the schools that don't compete much in the big 3(Football, basketball, baseball) to shoot for something that everyone notices.  Despite the fact that you don't respect it, we ARE here talking about it.

Personally, I never took much interest in it either.  All I cared about were football and basketball (which Witt did very well in the years I was in school).

Its nice that the athletes from the smaller sports get some attention, but I will join the chorus and say "who cares?"

DarkSide-D

As the perennial winner, Denison cares.

At least we're not dead last. We usually are higher than Hiram and Earlham. IMHO, this is a non-issue. The only NCAC hardware I care about are conference championship trophies in football and hoops.

Jr.'s high school tied the state record tonight with 44 regular season wins in a row. Chiefs beat the Fins! Never thought I would ever talk about high school and pros on the same night.

Yes I know this is an NCAC board so here I go, Lets Go Bishops beat those Lords a leapen!

Actually, Li' l Giant, Wabash did finish last in the All-Sports race last year. Check it out on this link:

I stand corrected, pupfan. Looking at previous years we were not dead last, though we were close.

In the event of a tie, the NCAC will use strength of schedule to determine the AQ.

As if we already haven't read enough, here is a pretty good article from today's Springfield paper... http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/sports/content/sports/stories/2005/10/22/snssp1022wittfootball.html

Is it 1 yet???

Does Wabash provide the live stats for the game.....where do they come from?

If Wabash admitted women they would finish better in the women's sports categories for all-sports competition... ;)

Tiger -

If you go to the Wabash website and go to the Sports/Football section, on the right hand side you'll see a "Live Stats" link
