It really was the best play for them. Giving up 2 is better than the prospect of punting from the 1.

then they gave up the kick return... so the field position was nullified.  Wabash is in this thing..

TD Wabash. Smart to go for two, even though it failed. Down 20-8, needed two scores anyway.

I couldn't be prouder of the LGs. They showed again that Wabash Always Fights. Tough game, bad breaks, mistakes, turnovers, you name it. But they showed D3 that they would not be content to let the Purple Raiders just crush them when down 20-0 and made it a very interesting game.

Onward.

Hats off to Wabash today... great effort.  Too bad Belton didn't start at QB..

Wabash played like real contenders today.  Congratulations!  Wabash is the best team Mount Union has played this year!

I'm very proud of this Wabash team, especially the seniors. This was a helluva ride they took us on. There is much to be proud of. 12-1 and being one of the last 8 teams playing is nothing to sniff at. Thanks to the seniors for four years of hard work, commitment and passion. You are some Little Giants.

Hats off, of course, to Mount Union. What a filthy nasty defense. No matter what we tried to do there was an answer. Absolutely amazing what you have accomplished, and continue to accomplish, year in and year out. It's simply amazing. You have to execute flawlessly against these guys to even have a chance to beat them.

Thanks again, to the players and coaching staff of this Wabash team. This has been a great year.

We wait most of the year for football season to roll around and it's always over way too soon.

Congratulations to the 2011 Little Giants.  One helluva season.  One helluva senior class.

Onward and upward next fall!

Great season LGs.  Indiana teams Bash and FC were a combined 22-3 this season and only lost to the Purple Powers. Both teams are young and will be back a ready to go again next season.

I just got back from the game. Wabash should be very proud of their team. I was impressed with the effort and the fan support. It was a very physical game and without a doubt the best "D" Mount has faced this year. Congrats!

UMU may have some issues moving forward. Our starting QB was lost for the game early in the 1st quarter and our back-up (former starting QB) came back from a knee injury today and was lost for the game (probably the year) in the 2nd quarter. Our 3rd team freshman QB ran the show but LK kept it close to the vest simply relying on his "D" to hold on. We were fortunate to hold on and win.

Lil Giant fans should be very proud of the effort today.  I know I was impressed.

Thanks, Shark. Wesley had to withstand a furious rally (that I able to watch, online! - heh) and will be a tough match if you are down to your #3 QB.

wabash best d mount has faced, glad Belton did not start  he seemed to have a better feel for the game today and he hit some passes that other qb missed.  mount's defensive speed was the difference today as it has been most of the year...wabash fans were also the best seen at Mount this season  Raeburn will have you back again, no doubt

Thanks for all the nice comments being shared on this Wabash team.  Congrats again to Mount, your defense is extremely good.

Well,  we learned today that our defense is reaching a very high level..... lets recruit our butts off this off-season!

WAF!

Huge bummer game today but very proud of the Little Giants.

How good was CJ Gum?  I think the best to play at Wabash.  We'll miss him for sure.  I do think Scola can be the guy.  This Bash D will be really good next year!

I can finally exhale, was very worried that Wes Chamblee was gonna break one and make it a game

Congrats Wabash on a great effort today (and all season), and to this Senior class, which has set new standards of performance and excellence.  You leave a tremendous legacy, and a team that is clearly determined to build on the foundation you made.  WAF!
