I have a question. When does the Carnegie Melon / Bash game become more than just another game against the UAA. Now? 'Cause they just won again. By a lot. They're gonna beat Depauw next week and show up in Crawfordsville undefeated and with an offense averaging close to 30ppg, a defense giving up a little over 10, and a stud QB (at least on paper; haven't watched him.)

Here are Kalkstein's numbers through three games, against teams ranked--per KickOff--164th, 105th, and 156th.

Kalkstein,Rob  27-40    67.5    682 yds    7  TDs 1 Int

Do we care yet? I dunno. But those are solid numbers. Kick-Off ranks the Tartans 146th, btw.

Today, in the first half, Kalkstein is 12-14 for 292 and 3 TDs.

I think we'll need to do a "DPU pass defense adjustment" metric on those QB stats. First Florence, now Kalkstein.

He's averaging close to 20 yards per attempt. On the season. That's crazy.

North region upset alert: Muskingum 6, B-W 3 at the half.

Denison leads Hiram 24-7 at the half.

Wash U. still leads Kenyon 7-0 but now it's in the second Q.

CMU 37, DPU 7 in the third.

Oberlin 9, Chicago 7 at the half. "Tony the Great" Brizzolara has just two catches for 45 yards.

Why are we playing musical running back?   How can any of them ever get in the groove?  Not being critical, just a question.

This is the way it's been for Raeburn. Keeps everyone fresh. Unless you have THE GUY, I don't think force-feeding someone to be a #1 is going to be in vogue anymore.

Though Tyler Holmes may be asserting himself as THE GUY, but Hunt and Porter are pretty good, too.

Chicago has taken a lead over Oberlin 14-9, 10:40 to go in the third.

Ho, hum - CMU scored again. It's 44-7 against the Train-Wrecks.

CMU 51, DPU 14 at the start of the 4th.
Chicago 21, Oberlin 9 1:29 in the 3rd.
Denison 24, Hiram 7 1:40 in the 3rd.

Wabash still up 17-10, but now the Gators have the wind in the 4th.

Every point has been scored today with the wind.....

Wabash wasted too many opportunities in the 3rd qtr.

Gators score..(with the wind.)

Wabash 17
Gators 17

4th.

Wabash's offense is bad today
