Big win by OWU salvages at least one against the UAA.

Looks like OWU is really going in the right direction and Kenyon's no longer an armadillo in the road. Now, about Hiram...

I was poking a bit of fun at him. Last year he was supposed to be all that and Wabash bottled him up, and it seemed Oberlin was doing the same when I posted it.

And any time I can refer to Tony Brizzolara, it's a good day:

I just gotta respect anyone going to UC majoring in some of those majors there and playing football at a good level.   UC "where fun goes to die"

It's been awhile since placekicking has been so prominent in a week of NCAC football.  It was very important today.  Press the kicking game, indeed.

There are tough majors everywhere in D-3 land. UC a great school but plenty of those around D-3 landscape.

It had been the achilles heel for OWU practically on a yearly basis.  In recent years attempting a 27-yard FG required the crucification of a chicken and everyone praying in unison, and even then the odds were 50/50 at best.  To jog the kicking team out for a 47-yarder as time is expiring is just awesome.

Throw in a Biff Pocoroba and a Rowland Office, and the day just gets better...

MacKenzie leads OWU scoring with 28 pts....hitting 63.6% on FG's

to the Oct 20 game with Carnegie Mellon....
LG's will have to show their metal this week versus CM...they beat the Gators 37-7 in Sept.

One week at a time for the Bishops.  The team surely enjoyed the victory last night but should be waking up right now thinking and breathing nothing but Hiram.

Holy cow - 90-0?  What did Wilkes do to tick off Widener?

Congrats to the Battling Bishops on a great win.   Keep it up the and 6-0 heading to CMU could be a real reality.

It looks like "regime change" may be paying off immediately,  happy to see it.

Not trying to be funny, but has OWU revamped their offense so that they do not run that wing-T scheme that Hollway ran?  Whatever they are running they are certainly scoring a lot more.
Way to go Bishops. Will definitely be at the Scots vs Bishops game, which should mean something this year, hopefully. It is always great when Nov. games mean something.

Here'e a hint: they've thrown 140 passes in 3 games and are averaging 318 yds/g passing.

I'm not sure what year it was, but Hollway went away from the Wing-T before retiring.  He completely polarized and last year the Bishops threw on almost every down.  They were in a very wide open spread.  With the same kids, the new coach is 3-0.  Case outgained them by almost 100 yards, and the box score reveals that OWU did struggle on offense, but had enough guts to get the win.  I couldn't say what the difference actually is, but times sure are exciting in Delaware.  As long as the Buckeyes aren't in Columbus at the same time in the coming weeks, it would be great to see a full home side of Selby.  Such a great facility/school deserves a great team.
