This defense is salty.

I will sacrifice a chicken or something to make sure Tyler Holmes stays healthy all year. Dude can be an NCAC OPOY with a full conference slate of stats. Although, I'm curious to see Stella get some reps.

So BashDad...Michael Putko's first half.  Assess.

First of all: OMG, y'all. Wabash is very good. Like, really good. I don't remember the last LG team that fired out of the gate like this. Have we had one?

Okay. Putko. My first thought is that he resembles what a quarterback in this offense should look like. Kinda blends in. Athletic. Can make requisite throws. What's to be seen is the cost/reward of what distinguishes him from the others-- that play where he broke free of a sack (wow) and then threw a bone-head ball into triple coverage. He seems like a player that can develop broken plays into big ones, but also like a sophomore who's confidence can get the team into trouble when it's not scoring them points.

That said. Dude's 12-15 with two touchdowns in his first half as a college quarterback. He wins.

Also, to whomever is to be credited for this Wabash advertising campaign: it's really terrific. I love it.

Wabash opened in 2009 with a 56-7 result against Denison.  Your 2005 team had a 46-6 opener in Kalamazoo which set a nice tone for that season.  But this...this today is different.

I can't tell you all how great it was just now to see CP Porter get in there, run hard, and score.  That really makes you think twice about what kinds of things are possible.  Great moment there.

I personally have never seen a Bash team so ready for the season...  As silly as it may sound, Wabash could have scored 100 today...   Hanover got 44 total yards on 50 plays... Wow just wow...   Did you see some of those 2nd and third team d-lineman....  Time will tell... But this team could be something.

To be fair and objective here, the first series was 3 and out and the offensive line play was really bad on those snaps.  So it took some time to get going today.
