Highlights from OWU/Allegheny, with an appearance at 0:24 by one of the Bishop greats, Ike Reid, who was inducted into the OWU Hall of Fame last weekend.

Wow Espinosa is looking good, but hey we all knew that already!! Youtube suggested that I watch the Denison/OWU highlights, so I willingly obliged. After watching what the Denison O did to the OWU D I am looking forward to seeing Zurek and Putko do this weekend.

Really necessary? You know, even teams that finished the year with 6 or 7 wins have highlights.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

I said the same thing about Manziel this year against Bama. Just because we know somebody is good does not mean I cannot be impressed. Likewise, looking at the box score it is obvious Denison ran for a lot of yards, but that does not mean I cannot be impressed with their hard runs and comment about it. It is not just the highlights, but the highlights combined with the larger picture of the game that really impressed me. There is no need to get offended.
What I lack in size, I make up for with my lack of speed.

My apologies - I actually thought it was a snarky potshot at OWU.  Upon re-reading your post, I see that you were being genuinely complimentary.  Silly interwebz  :P

Below is the link to Wabash's game notes for this week's game with Ohio Wesleyan.

Looking forward to the game on Saturday at Hollett.  Holmes ran for 200+  last year against OWU.  Hoping to see Zurek hit the 200 yard mark again.

Looking at the 2-deeps, the size advantage the Wabash O-line has is crazy!  I think Zurek, Stella, and CP rip it up on Saturday...

Going to be very tough for OWU to stop the Wabash running machine.    OWU's defense better hope that their offense doesn't have too many 3 and outs....   they will surely need some breaks after dealing with the Wabash offense.

I hope Wabash man's up and takes the "Dink and Dunk" away....   If they have to throw down field,  they might complete a couple,  but they will also get a few picked....

The Harbaugh Brothers took it off-line this week to grouse about OWU. Here are some excerpts from the twin, who's doing the best non-book-editing work of his life:

-"Depauw scored more points against Kenyon than [OWU] did. I think OWU is my least favorite NCAC team of all time. Poseurs."

-"Espy's weak sauce line against Kenyon:

Mason Espinosa    28 - 50 - 0    270    1    45    4

Completing 50% of your passes in that offense against that defense is morally indefensible. I am going to seriously vomit if it takes him 50+ throws to get 270 passing yards. If we pick off six of his throws and sack him ten times, I will still dream of saddling up to him after the game is over and forcing him to admit that it's all a big joke that he's the "reigning" POY. And can we please get some funny English majors to make a satirical OWUish highlight film of their imminent despondency and terrible play [Ed Note: "goodnight, screenpass": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xya5Yhn9n6E ]? I want to win by two hundred points."

-"Also, while I'm talking to myself, is OWU's offense not simply Wayne Perry's obsolete pass-happy offense from Hanover? Is he seriously trying to bring back that glorious three year period from almost twenty years ago when you could pass 75 times and actually win? Hilarious to me that OWU goes from a stubborn and inflexible 1980s running offense, to a stubborn and inflexible 1990s passing one. Fake. Football."

-"Denison rushed for....[laughing and peeing my pants]...361yds."

BashDad

I responded with some over/under prompts, while pointing out that OWU leads the conference in field goal attempts, 11, and has made only 4. The prompts were:

-Attempts by Espo - 60
-Passing yards by Espo - 350
-Passing TDs by Espo - 1.5
-Defense/Special Team TDs by Wabash - 1.5
-Rushing yards by Wabash - 250
-Sacks by Wabash D - 6.5
-Points by Wabash - 35
-Points by OWU - 16.5

His response:

-Attempts by Espo - 60
UNDER (won't have the ball enough)
-Passing yards by Espo - 350
UNDER (**** him; 210 *maybe*)
-Passing TDs by Espo - 1.5
UNDER (see above; and your very smart red zone point)
-Defense/Special Team TDs by Wabash - 1.5
UNDER? Would love to see two, but hard to bet on that.
-Rushing yards by Wabash - 250
OMG OVER. (400+)
-Sacks by Wabash D - 6.5
OVER. (I bet we have 6 in the second half, when they get desperate.)
-Points by Wabash - 35
OVER
-Points by OWU - 16.5
UNDER

The twin, summing it up:

"The only good thing OWU has ever done is playing Huff tough in 2004 so my bro could get his job back. I guess I'm just excited for the game, but also mad at myself for being excited because it seems like they have a history of being decent and yet totally irrelevant."

I love my brother.

BashDad

Bashbrother got in on it too. I feel weird posting his response without consent, but I hope he posts it below.

BashDad,

While I genuinely appreciate the light-hearted banter on this board from time to time, I have to ask:

Why are you such a dick?

You mean why's my brother a dick. I'll ask him. Stand by.

Bishopleftiesdad

BashDad,
If the brothers took it off-line, Why did you choose to bring it on-line?
Good to hear Wabash hates OWU, they must be doing something right to get under the mighty Little Giants skin.
