He may have some long odds if he didn't get an invite to training camp. But I would think he's out there beating the bushes for the AFL and for Eurpoe, perhaps.

You're right, we know nothing.  However, it's because I care about him as a person--and wish him the best--that I picked up on the subject.

Wabash was a crazy team last year.

They seemed to start off almost every game very slow and lethargic. Only to begin to play Wabash Football late in the first half and into the 2nd Half.

Top caliber teams will make you pay for starting slow as they did last year.

Lets hope the Senior leadership and the coaching staff can get the team off earlier this season.

Got news on Lafitte. He's at ASU taking classes. He's not on the roster since he has to sit out a year, but he plans on being on the roster next season for sure. That's straight from a reliable source.

Gang, I've entered the OAC and Heartland pick 'ems. I think it would be great if we would demonstrate our knowledge en masse...

To all of you "Little Giants".

Please say hello to my High School Track Coach Rob Johnson when you see him.  Tell him his favorite "Quarter-miler from Englewood, NJ sends his regards.

Holy cow - 19 pages of posts to plow through.  Now tell me what you guys really think about your teams!

My concerns revolve around the QB and RB positions, as well as special teams.  I would like to see some definitive starters for QB and RB, rather than a rotation.

Wabash insiders - how have Hasty and Lutgring looked?  Nice article on the web site about the Roncalli pipeline.

What's the word on Wheaton for the opener?  They have been pretty tough opponents for Wabash recently.

Saturday's event at Wheaton is just a scrimmage...Wabash opens their regular season on Sep. 10 vs. Kalamazoo in C'ville.

And Wheaton has been tough for everybody lately...32-5 over the last three years is a pretty impressive.  Maybe we'll get a chance to see them again this year when the weather is a little more mild. :)

WabashCPA,

Peterman has had the best camp of the Roncalli kids.  Should provide much needed depth at CB behind Bell and Jackson.

Wheaton should be a good test on Saturday.  Apparently they are going to keep it very much like a game as opposed to a controlled scrimmage.  Should be easier to gauge our performance.

K-zoo backed out of their scrimmage with St. Francis.  I only saw they have 55 listed on their roster.  I look for Bash to get out to a huge start on 9/10!

Out like a 3-1 fastball...

A quick count of the K-Zoo roster also shows that more than half of the 55 players are freshmen or sophomores.  It looks like a rebuilding year for the Hornets.

maybe you can get their playbook from Coach Rogers at Depauw as you guys are pretty close...me thinks K-Zoo has been rebuilding for a while...great school, maybe they can get competitive...

Rebuilding year for K'zoo?  After a 1-9 season?  Looks to me more like a rebuilding decade...

OK....I will admit that the sarcasm was a bit too subtle, though we should be mindful that 2003 was a winning season for K-zoo (in part at our expense).
