Am I the only one this year who has seen John Carroll play? In my humble opinion, they are by far the best team in the state of Ohio.

I did not make the claim about John Carroll to ruffle any feathers, and I have nothing but respect and admiration for the Mount Union football program. But I have been around football my entire life, and the John Carroll roster carries significantly more talent than does Mount Union, this year. I also believe that they have a coach that won't be out schemed in Arth, but hey we'll see.

Until that point comes, I'm all about the NCAC, not the OAC. The Patriot League to our Ivy ;)

Hiram College wins the inter-collegiate basketball world championship at the World's Fair Universal Exposition Olympic Games in St. Louis, Missouri. Final score: Hiram, 25; Latter Day Saints University, 18.

This is comical.  A good game is brewing for sure, but that statement is ludicrous.

Guys,

Sorry but I have to comment on some of the recent "DePauw is back" remarks.  They are improved I will give them that but let's relax a little bit with the "if DePauw wins the Bell"

I said it was a big if. I don't know how I can hedge that any more than I did.  Or are you just doing your disgruntled thing right now?

Shots fired!

HCAlum is secretly a John Carroll plant!

Love the enthusiasm HCAlum. I'd love it if you were proven right; I respect the Division's kingpins but would dearly love to see someone upset the apple cart. JCU may be that team. I've just seen year after year of "Team X might be the team to knock off the Juggernaut" to ever make a statement as bold as yours. It's one thing to speculate that JCU might be good enough, quite another to proclivity that they are "by far" the most talented. Especially because this year's edition of Mount looks superior to last year's version.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Wes- I don't think bb was directing his comments at you.

Last year's bell game was was the first time in years I saw any semblance of a pulse from dpu. The years before, they were clearly and unambiguously outclassed on the field. DPU has also clearly improved from last year. They still have a long way to go to be sure. for the bell game though, how many times have we seen the scrappy underdog with nothing to lose play the game of their careers against a team looking ahead. Going into the last three bell games- I would have put a depauw win as a near impossibility given the talent disparity. Has depauw closed that gap? Probably not yet. Their results this far suggest they are at least making progress. Recent results notwithstanding, history tells us not to take the bell game lightly.

Guys

Get your Bell tickets.  Remember, at Wabash they sell out the Wabash tickets.  There may be some ability to modify the perimeter portable bleachers to accommodate more Wabash in the event the Dannies do not buy out the number saved for them ... but given that the Dannies no longer have Long on the payroll (or at least I don't think they do, this may be a year when the Dannies' fans show for the "show".

As some of you may know, Wabash bought the Lew Wallace Inn property out of bankruptcy and are removing all vestiges of the buildings and grading and paving the property for parking (at least until something else to do with it crops up in the future).  It is my understanding that that is where the Dannie parking/tailgating will be located (without gestapo supervision ... unless the Dannies wish to bring their own from Greendingle).  This probably more than doubles the Dannie parking.  So that should be nice.

I would love to see the Dannies put one on Witt. BUT will be wearing my WABASH 47 / DePauw 0 shirt for the Bell Game in memory of the thrashing of the Dannie self proclaimed best team ever to set foot on Wabash ground.  WAF
