But it will essentially be empty on Saturday.

Why is that? Just knowing Wabash I would be willing to bet that their following will contribute at least a couple hundred to that crowd.

Are 2nd round games just not that big of a draw at UWW as of late, given their immense success in the post-season for the past decade or so?

Franklin has played there three times in the last 5 seasons on Thanksgiving break.  The home crowd is decent but keep in mind students are on break and UWW from my perspective is somewhat a commuter school.  I would say the stands will be about 1/3 to 40% full. With the weather halfway decent (almost 40) maybe more turn-out.

The livestream broadcast showed over 1,000 watching the wabash/franklin game online.  Hope UWW has the bandwidth.

Partly Cloudy -  39 high -  27 Low on Saturday...winds 10-15 mph.. not bad.   I am glad it will not be -10.   ;)
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

"somewhat a commuter school?" In the dictionary listing for commuter school, there is a picture of the UWW campus. Not uncommon since they are inside the golden triangle of Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago!!  That is one of the major reasons no one will be at the game other than close family and friends, but the main reason is 'deer hunting season' is in full swing. Unless you're from Wisconson, you can't understand the importance to those three words in the Badger state. Also, the Badgers play East Dakota University for the Big Ten West Division championship just up the road in the Axe game. That will get people going before UWW will.

They were very cool last time we made the trip. We hung out and tailgated with several of them.

In 2007 as I was making my way to Whitewater from my hotel in oconomowoc early in the morning I was behind a jeep with a dead deer tied to the top....tongue hanging out.   Then it tarted to snow.

Hey Little Giants fans!

As I did last week with our first round opponent, I've dedicated a page at Warhawkfootball.com to Wabash College. The hope is that Warhawk fans can get a sense of the Little Giants program and their history.  If you have any suggestions as to more content for the page, feel free to send me a PM!

We are looking forward to your visit and fully expect all of us to be able to experience D-III football at its finest!

Have a great week and see you on Saturday!

For Warhawk and Wabash fans ... great late November weather for Saturday's D3 Round 2 game at the Perk. Weather.com is forecasting 40 degrees and partly cloudy. See you on Saturday!!!

wabco

yeah, yeah, yeah.  It was about 60 degrees 7 years ago.  Then the snow and temperature Gods blew us up .... followed up by the football team from Whitewater.  Then the Gods ordered sleet and winds for the trip home.   Hoping for a change in the weather ... which will flow over into a change in the football game.  Go Little Giants.

The good thing that flowed ever present was the nice treatment we received from the Whitewater fans.  (You only have to experience DePauw fans or Witt fans once to really understand this is a real compliment which places Whitewater high as a fun place to see good football.  By the way, the same can be said for Mount ... at least from the Wabash experience.)
