I guess those large "knuckel"s explain why they constantly are hitting the caps lock.

Anyway, I feel good that Cap scored 31 on the Mount today and 'Bash held them to 14.

I was just browsing through the OAC board and man, are they a bunch of conceded a$$ holes or what?! >:(

To just quote a few of my favorites:
QuoteSomething tells me that "today's" Capital would have hung a 40-something on North Central and the 'Bash.  I think they have really notched it up.
Because MUC's D is soooooooooooo great that it must have just been a fluke that CAP only managed to score 14 on Wabash's D?!  Give me a friggin' break you losers!!!

And here's another one:
QuoteU FRICKEN NCAC BOYS CAN"t STAND IT    CAN YA?  WHAT'S NEXT  WE COMMENT POLITELY ON YOUR BOARD AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPLY     F U!
I especially like how he used the shift key for the "apostrophe" key when he forgot he had the "Caps Lock" key on in "CAN"t"! ???  And the F U! is just class all the way!!! :o

And this might have been my favorite of the entire bunch:

Those MUC fans are just so conceited its pathetic!  It kills me that they think that anything outside the OAC must just be garbage football.  I mean, because Cap hung 31 on MUC today must mean that CAP just wasn't playing as hard last week when they could only score 14 on Wabash?!  That is just asinine!  I, for one, hope that Rowan comes into Alliance next week and repeats what they did to the Purple Faders in '99!  It sure would be refreshing to see 2 Stagg Bowls in a row without the Purple Faders!

ScotsFan,

I was thinking the same thing!  Interesting clips from OAC posts (most if not all are Mount people), as we've stated I think Cap realizes how good Bash was and have a lot of respect...   I liked the one that claimed today's game would have been a great Stagg Bowl and it was ashame it would never happen (an all OAC championship) - gag!

I stumbled on this website with a bunch of photos from last week's Wabash/Cap game...some pretty good photos...

See them here:  http://www.yoursportphoto.com/capitalfootballpics/WB/

Congrats to Cap on playing their hearts out today and a great season!

BB16, good call on the photos. Pretty cool.

Scotsfan, yes. It's nuts. It's like a whole conference of Notre Dame fans.

Actually, I shouldn't say that. There were plenty of cool ones. But when the bad ones are on...

NCAC Guys,

All of those quotes were from Mount people.  Let's not jump to conclusions and lump all OAC guys into the same category of "Drunken knuckle-dragging earthpigs."  Some of us are fairly intelligent; understand computer etiquitte (like NOT USING ALL CAPS); and actually use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.  I don't even know what started all of the vicious rhetoric between a few guys.  A Mount grad made a comment about how well Capital was playing by saying that if Capital's "O" had played that way the last few weeks, perhaps the scores would not have been as close.  A few Wabash guys took offense and it got out of hand.  I don't think he meant to denigrate the Wabash effort last week.  I just think he meant Capital's offense "blew up" today against a very good team and had they done that before the score last week MIGHT not have been so close.  You can play the MIGHT and WHAT IF game all day.  It didn't happen, Wabash had a hell of a defense and Capital hung on in a great game.  On the flip side of that, you could say that if Wabash hits on any of the times they had receivers open behind Cap's DB's, it might have been a very different story.

All that being said, it's time for me to break up the lovefest.  Let's not pretend that NCAC football is as good as OAC football.  It never has been.  There are good TEAMS in the NCAC, and there is good football being played outside of the OAC.  I am not that pretentious.  Capital alone beat the two NCAC programs that have consistently been near the top of the league this season.  Granted Witt had a down year and they may have been lucky to beat Wabash, but they still won both games.  If you played head to head, I think the only game you guys might win would be 10 vs. 10 against H-Berg.  Don't even bring up Wilmington.  If you do, you forget the fact that they nearly beat MSJ in week one, who just happend to be a playoff team.

Chew on that for a bit.  I am sure my Karma might take a hit, but I am willing to pay that price.

By the way, thanks for all your support for my Crusaders today.  We gave em a run, didn't we?

You girls are so special here.
How creative you are with the quotes. How dare you make light of my daughter's service, in the Qatar and Iraq, at this moment.
Can I take any 100 of of you and make one contributing soul?
Before you hurt yourselves, the answer is NO!!!  Too many silver spoons in your childish mouths.

Isn't this a football chat site?  I guess not...this is the NCAC board!
Your seasons are over.   Time for you to talk about women's sports (that includes the 'Bash girls).

You brats disgust me.

(I am REALLY going to Hooter's now.  God forbid that there are any 'Bash girls serving me there!!!)

NCAC guys and OAC guys, get on your conference leaders and start scheduling each other..The first week of season could feature  all OAC/NCAC matchups....
Witt and Wooster used to be a great rival, and Wabash could become a rival for several OAC schools.  Everyone would love to hate Wabash, but most are envious of the spirit of the school.  College kids acting like college kids..I am an old man and I would love to see it...
Rude fans all over, but don't lump them all together...When Bash came to Mount, some great tailgating with fine folks...a great spirited game...same for Cap today...St. Johnnies are great fans and the best tailgaters...

As a Mount fan, I am tired of travelling all over the country in our first game...I would much strike up some games and get the NCAC and OAC together.

It might shut up some of this useless chest pounding by all ....it's a game folks....enjoy and know how to lose, and more importantly, know how to win....

All this conference versus conference crap could be turned into some neat matchups...

scotty

i agree that the OAC is superior overall...but until the NCAC teams, and i hope they never do, bring in 200+
players, in aint going to happen...both great conferences but different philosophies when it comes to football...

Scotty,

Name me an OAC team other than MUC that has 200+?

JK

By the way, the shot on Recce's daughter was pretty classless.

I am Army, I was in the Middle East.  He's AF, and he was over there too.  Want to take some shots at us too?

By no means am I saying that we, as service members should be immume from criticism, nor should "playing the military card" end all discussions.  I am simply asking that you support those who are serving, not use them as a cheap shot in a petty football argument.

scotty

maybe 200+ is a stretch but ONU, JCU, BW seem to be extremely prolific...earlier this year, i praised Capital for being more in line with the NCAC norm...today's performance by Capital reinforces my earlier post...no offense to the Crusaders was meant...

JK,

This string had nothing to do about OAC vs. NCAC.  Nor were any NCAC'ers saying we did have better football????  You guys are all over the place.  Lighten up brother, go watch Reggie Bush run for another 200 in the 2nd half against UCLA.

That Linfield/WW game sounded incredible...I'm still picking WW to win it all.

This isn't about OAC vs. NCAC?  ScotsFan generalized and then attacked our character.  I was simply defending us.

Reggie Bush is pretty good, huh?  But the SEC game is a better game.  Much more competitive.
