On top of that the Cruthedral will probably be packed out being game 1, a lot of visiting families for game 1...it will be loud

After the grand opening, what's a normal percentage for capacity at Crusader Stadium?  Last year's NCAA attendance report tells me that an average UMHB home game attendance is about 44% of capacity...or about half full because I'm an optimist.

Whatever the case, OWU shouldn't be too bothered by the bigness of Crusader Stadium.  They also play in a cool-but-probably-too-large-for-purpose stadium.  They'll be bothered by a lot of other things, but not the stadium.

Link to Wabash's game notes are below.  I don't thing they have been posted as yet.  If so, I apologize for the redundancy.  Hope to see many of you at Albion tomorrow night.

wally good question, if it is a good game, it will fill up, mostly on one side because the visitors side stays kinda empty. But for instance a HSU-UMHB game in the stadium it is near capacity, even the end zone grass areas are used so on average yeah, its about 50%..but get to HSU or TLU v. UMHB and it's an event! I would imagine the Linfield game should bring in more visitors (I hope) I am hoping Saturday night gets filled up, you know lots of freshmen, familes etc etc...nothing like playing in front of good sized crowds. When playoffs come around then it starts getting good as well

Saturday Wabash/Albion radio broadcast drinking game.  You have to take a drink every time Brent Harris says "Sprankle-Sprandle Stadium"

Might be the most fun stadium name to say out loud in D3.  Definitely a finalist at the very least.

I would love to be in Texas for the opener; just to sit in that stadium and see the Cru program.
I think the Red & Black can surprise some teams this year...solid D/linebacker corps should lead
Dom can have a great last year at QB and has all his targets back. Special teams are good...BUT,
the opener at MHB is a tough one to overcome. Time zone, memory of last year, the awe of the stadium,
and the Cru is loaded is just a lot for OWU to overcome. If the Bishops can score early, get some turnovers,
maybe it can be close........GO BISHOPS

Which is practice for the Dead Drunk game of drinking every time Hoffman says "ruhly."

Eastern Michigan throttled Mississippi Valley State 61-14 Friday. A lot of wags say EMU would be the worst team in D-1. I have faith in Creighton.

Buffalo lost to Albany (D-1AA - and yes I still call it that) 22-16. Nate Kumerow ain't walkin' through that door for Lance Leipold.

Today, Savannah State faces Georgia Southern (they're probably getting paid a little).

Oh...my. Wabash wins a nailbiter in OT, 41-34. Nice to see them come back and win. Bad to see them play horribly for a half.

Albion announcers wanted interference on the last two plays. I dunno. Let 'em play?

First glance this season less than impressive given all of the accolades, returners, etc..  Rice just didn't seem to be with it (though his downfield block on the sweep was excellent).  Defense had no swagger and with exception of Byshop leaked like a rusty sieve.  Are Drake and Shamir okay?   ??? ???
