Good win for OWU...
7 pts is a little too close,
but, it's a W !!

It was 28-14 with less than 2 minutes and Hiram blocked a punt an git the ball at OWU 26. They went in to score. There was 1:24 left and Hiram kick off went 19 yards and out of bounds. Probably a failed inside kick. I was following on live stats. Closer than I would have liked as well.

WooHoo, Chris Creighton fans - don't look now, but EMU is 5-2!  They went into Athens today and knocked off previously undefeated (in the MAC) Ohio U, 27-20. ;D  It's the first time they have won three straight road games since 1967.

I'm still skeptical that ANYONE can make EMU consistently good (or even consistently competitive), but I am now a believer that if anyone can, it is Coach Creighton!

What a good game in Granville.  They said that was Denison's first win over Witt since 1989.  It was really cool to see the sideline going crazy.  Good for them.  The Denison QB is a really nice player.  Very impressed with him.

Canaan Gebele = OPOY

33/47 375 yards 1 TD 1 INT
18 carries for 81 yards

Fantastic game!
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

Gebele is a sophomore.  He's just getting started. In a couple of years he might be able to supplant Matt Hunt as the Witt radio guy's best NCAC QB.

Denison are underdogs this week, no doubt.  But I think the Big Red have been building to a big program win and I think they'll get one this year.  Witt, Wabash, or DePauw-  they're winning one of these games this year.

The question, at this point, is whether they're winning just one of these...

When was the last time a non-Witt, non-Wabash team won the league outright / represented the league in the playoffs?

2012 Ohio Wesleyan tied for first with Witt, but that's a little funky because they didn't play Witt (the joys of the unbalanced schedule).

Is it all the way back to the Tony Sutton era Wooster teams?
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Yeah, Wooster 2004.  It's been Wabash or Witt every year since.  And 2012 OWU shared, but did not go to the tournament.
