On September 8, Mount has a bye. I will be going to watch Wooster play host to Allegheny. Went last year to watch Wooster play this second week. Had a great time. Talked to people from both teams. People sure can be nice and a lot of fun. We root hard for our team but we all love Dlll football.
Watched 2 NCAC games last year and will watch 2 this year. I'll still watch a few more OAC games.
Good luck to both conferences.
Go Scots! Go Gators! & Go Raiders! ☠🏈

Question for Wittenberg fans. Does anyone have an idea of the starting time for the Denison game?  I know it is in Granville but I can't seem to get an answer out of Denison.

It looks like that is Big Red Weekend at Denison so they're probably figuring out when in the weekend program the game fits best.  Denison will have a good squad this year and you could definitely make that game the centerpiece of the weekend.  I'd bet a nickel that it will be a night game.
I'm hoping you are correct on the game time. I am going to a game in Athens in the afternoon and would hate to miss this one.
1 o'clock start time according to an updated Witt schedule.

I'm out a nickel.  :)

Allegheny @ Wooster should be fun.  How fun?  Probably some very good team previews coming on Aug. 9 in Kickoff

Did you see my earlier post on Hiram vs Wabash? Comments? Might you be there?

Link to Witt's 2018 recruit list.  Heavy Florida representation again for central midwest D3.  34 in two years seems like a lot anyway.  Good representation from both Cincy and Columbus areas and a nice group of players from Indiana.

Unfortunately I won't be in Hiram on 9/1.  Game 1's always get me nervous though, and Hiram played great against Wabash last season.  You might stumble into a really good game there.

If you make it to the season opener, Hiram and Wabash, you might be watching a certain transfer QB from UMU playing for the Little Giants.  I've heard he performed well during spring workouts.

Who? I have to know! It's not Poorman or Davis. Not Fulford either. PLEASE? I'll spring for the brewski if we ever get together. Come on ya big lug! Now I won't be able to get to sleep tonight. And I'll be at media day next Thursday. Shouldn't I already know this?
I'll await your timely response. Remember - I'm old. I get mixed up and I forget things!

The answer to your question is Jake Reid listed as a junior from Mount. He was the topic of  a question I posed on the OAC site awhile back. I wanted to know who  the two Jakes were referring to Mounts QB situation. The only two QB's listed on Mounts roster at that time were two Jakes if D'angelo has any difficulty returning. And now one of them is gone too. Who the H E double hockey sticks is going to play QB for Mount this year????? Hope the legal system in Fla. has picked up the pace a little. Maybe Brett Favre has some eligibility left?

Yes, Jake Reid.  He is from Indianapolis, and he transferred to Wabash for the spring semester.  He was first-team, small-school all state several years ago.  He played behind great QBs at UMU.  Since the arrival of Erik Raeburn, Wabash has basically run the UMU system offensively, including, a lot of the same terminology.  So, I'm told he was able to pick up things quickly in the spring.  Of course, I don't know if he will be the #1 guy, but he's in the mix.  Wabash if definitely looking at a new QB this year.

Thanks guys for the QB info. I only live 5 blocks from the UMU campus. I'm going to media day next Thursday. I'm on campus several times a week. Shouldn't I have known about this? I appreciate the two of you keeping me informed. I'll be in Hiram on September 1. I'll keep a watch on the QB!
Thanks again! ☠🏈

As it stands right now I am planning to attend the Hiram game too. When I lived in MN I did many double headers with games between WIAC teams and some of their non conference foes.  Then it would be off to see the Johnnies play. And as always and forever the Tommies SUCK!

How will I know you? Got it. Wear a scarlet carnation in your lapel. Oh wait, did I see that in an old Humphrey Bogart movie? Never mind, we'll work it out.
Do you even remember Mr. Bogart? I do because I'm old. I get mixed up and I forget things. Look forward to seeing you in Hiram. Go Raiders! ☠🏈

I always try to make to Wooster at least once every 2 years. The band and the team entrance are hard to match.
