At least the stands at COW are top notch, with the limitation of no seating on the Vis side.  Can't speak to other facilities or condition of the field.  But since  I believe only FB uses it in the fall it doesn't have the usage issue that other schools have.

Huzzah!  Any Allegheny poster who pipes up and tells me that they chipped in on this gets a free karma point from yours truly.

I was a bit surprised to see that this is scheduled to be done before next fall.  This was really a no-brainer on the part of Allegheny.  Their athletes and the athletes that they host deserve better than what Robertson Field had been providing.

It's great to be using the past tense when talking about the Swamp.  It won't be missed.

Well, they haven't renovated Hollett in quite a long time.  The grubs are always fresh, though!  :D

So, how many days did they had to sit up there at the stadium to get that picture waiting for the sun to come out?

Unless you count the...ahem...reduction of "Touchdown Phallus".  ;)

I know that. I just wanted to avoid using "penis". I had no idea how sensitive anyone was going to be about it.

Well, I don't know about Wabash, But I think I can speak for woo folks that we are PROUD of our touchdown penis.

Of course, ours splits the up-rights

You guys should be proud of that thing.  It's friggin' huge.  Whenever I visit the Papp, I try not to look directly at it.  It's powerful.   :)

Nice piece on Wabash players recently visiting Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis... http://www.wabash.edu/news/displaystory.cfm?news_ID=3307

Interesting to note that Wittenberg's offensive coordinator Al Logan has left to take basically the same job at Muskingum, his alma mater. I guess it is not surprising that he selected Muskingum, considering he is in their Hall of Fame, but it is certainly a step down in the quality of the program. Maybe he is lining himself up to become the head coach there. The head guy has been there forever, with not very good results.

I bet that's it - and sometimes the home ties outweigh anything else.

That being said, I can't see Creighton moving over to Kenyon if there the next time the Lords need a head coach!
