Can you confirm the DePauw rumor?  Reliable source?  Anything on Footballscoop.com?

That would be wild, especially after all of the staff changes and Rogers getting his own guys in there.  That would actually be fantastic in many ways!   ;D

HoosierQBScout

you can take it to the bank...it is fact...expect to hear official word very soon.

scotty

BashBacker#16, what did i tell you last year ;)

HoosierQBScout

what are walker's credentials to be a head coach?

scotty

well for starters, Depauw doesn't have to pay relocation costs...he's tall, good looking, likes baseball...and he is ALREADY THERE...

HoosierQBScout

i think depauw can more than afford relocation costs...my guess is he would be interim h.c.

scotty

just kidding around...i agree...is Timmy headed anywhere in particular...Chicago area perhaps  ;)

And I thought Billy Lynch jumping ship in a January was bad...resigning in June?!?!?  4 head coaches in 4 years...outstanding work.  Simply outstanding.  Bravo gentlemen.  Is there anybody who actually wants that job?

What's amazing here is that even with all of the turnover, Depauw has managed to stay competitive.  Most teams that run through head coaches like this (actually I shouldn't say most teams because I can't think of a team off the top of my head that has had four head coaches in four years) end up in the tank for a few years while they wait for the new guy to build his program.  Doesn't it seem like this has to be the straw that breaks the camel's back?  I'll begrudingly give some credit to Depauw for managing to avoid the post-coach change crash and burn not once, but twice now.  Can they really pull it off three times in a row?  The challenge this year is that they are going to be really young...lots of seniors graduated for Depauw (at least I assume they graduated...either way their eligibility is used up).

I'll reserve comment until I see some sort of confirmation.

Okay, I'll say this much: If it is true, why doesn't anyone want that job for more than one year?
