Could it be that well know DePauw Tiger .... Tony?  Or is that Toni?

Maybe some of their coaches need a big letter "R" for their Resume'?

I'm flattered, but really...I can't stand Greencastle.  I go down there once every other year and must immediately take a thorough shower (we're talking steel wool scrub down type of stuff here) as soon as I get out of there.  The place is the seventh circle...I'm sure of it.

So if I'm ever in Greencastle, you can be certain that I've got bigger fish to fry than plucking the Rs off a few marquees.   :)

just got a call from my "reliable" Depauw source...seems that the Dannies are planning a big theme party to kick off the school year...since it will be a take off on Pirates of the Caribbean, they will need a lot of "ahrrrrrrrrrr's"...

From 2000-2003  KC and HC were 2-2 and Hiram outscored them 86-77.
They won 34-7  in 2003 FGS!!!  KC's biggest win was 14-0.

Hiram was not 0 for NCAC they won 3 games 00-02 (same as KC).  The schedule was made up in March 2004.  With that lopsided loss I don't see how Kenyon would be rated ahead of Hiram.

I don't know how Kenyon's '03 season was treated in the schedule, but I can't see how 2 more lopsided losses would have improved their standing.

It all depends on which stretch you look at.  I'm not certain what the time periods are on when they decide the power rankings...if '03 is included in the current rankings, Kenyon assured themselves of the #10 spot by not playing.  If it doesn't, then it's pretty close...and if you go back to '01 and '00 Hiram probably has a slight advantage.  I'm not sure anybody here has enough knowledge about the all mysterious NCAC power rankings to say for sure.

I watched Letterman last night.

Rupert Jee was wearing a Wabash tee-shirt.

Nice.  There was a blog entry at the Wabash site with an account of a student visiting NYC who stopped by Rupert's deli and spotted him wearing the Wabash shirt.  This is the first I've heard of it making the broadcast though.  Good eye Gray Fox!

WOW WOOSTER / IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE GETTING NO RESPECT!
Even with all the seniors, it seems that most of the posts have you as an also ran.  I still stand by my outlook for 06, hoping that the Scots can get through training camp and the Carrol game in one piece!  SENIORS; TIME TO PROVE YOUR WORTH!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOSTER 06:  OUTLOOK for the 06 season has a lot to offer, with pressure placed on the heavily populated senior class.  There is good reason to think NCAC championship for 06.  Unlike some of the past seasons, Wooster has a quality opponent early in John Carrol.  Even though this is a non-conference match-up, it will go a long way in predicting what to expect for the remainder of the year.  Even though depth appears to be a strength for the Scots, the pre-season practices will do a lot to define the success sought during the regular season.  Coach Schmitz is noted for running a hard hitting and physically draining camp.  This has lead to the team starting the season with some key injuries and some banged up starters in the past few years.  If this year's camp is a carbon copy of some of the past few, it could affect the Scots ability for early success.  All in all, 06 should be a very interesting year for Scot football.

What kind of turf is Ohio Wesleyan putting in their stadium?  I noticed a couple weeks ago the filed is completely torn up.

Might have to retract a little of my ealrier post regarding rankings.  Had Wooster rounding out the top three with a round robin between Allegheny and OWU for the top two spots.

From the OAC page I read that JCU, Woosters opener, is without their running back or quarterback from last year.  Couldnt ask for a better situation.  Wooster, with a ton of seniors, facing a young team from a tougher conference.

This very could well be the type of test the SCots need and are capable of passing to catapult them to a superior season.

Psychological momentum and letdown have as much to do with football as coaching, talent or tradition.

Still dont want to be Kenyon versus Wooster regardless the circumstance.

you guys really shouldnt have yellow in your tartan......  that Stewart ascension thing can be a real bugger.
See that, that spells Adidas

The JCU game could be huge mentally, but I still think that Wooster's season is made or lost with the Witt game on Sept. 30.  Big rivalry game, big conference game that early in the season.  They have to be thinking about it from day one.  Lose to Witt and they're playing catch up all season.  Win, and they control their own destiny.  That's the game.

And yes, Kenyon is in an unevienable situation to say the least.
