"Level of fan support = # of posters."

Not so simple formula.......

Not really, some people just read a lot and don't feel the need to talk a lot.

I was able to attend practice on the first day of full pads as well as the scrimmage on sunday. To my untrained eye the team looked energized and hustled through practice with an intense purpose. Sunday the scrimmage lasted a bit over 2 hrs, I thought there seemed to be some additional depth on defense especially at linebacker, The offense clicked along in a nice groove. Both days there were a few bumps and bruises but nothing that seemed too serious, again just my bias untrained view..

While I definitely agree with you...
Remember, that this applies to some Wabash fans as well.

Wabash's 2004 average per game home attendance was 5442, second in d3 behind St. John's. Presumably that year Wabash's game vs. DePauw was played at Wabash.

2005 average attendance was 3,189, 23rd in the country.  The numbers do get mighty inflated when we host the Bell game.

Interesting note....the playoff games at Wabash last year actually hurt the average attendance.  Those first two playoff weeks are not conducive to really big crowds on campus (most students are gone for Thanksgiving break both weekends).

I believe we are hoping to set an attendance record this year for the Bell game.  I am not sure but it seems I have heard 12,000 as far as seating - that would be very cool.

Scotty - I met your boy yesterday, he certainly looks the part, bigger then I had anticipated!  I wasn't able to see practice but have heard good reports.  The red & white is this weekend.

Any reports out of Springfield?

An interesting statistic on attendance for the ASC.

Austin College only drew 2250 fans in 6 games for an avg of 375 fans per game.

Dropping those stats from the ASC will boost the fans per game average at ASC games to 2710, good for 2nd place to the MIAC.

This year's Black & Gold game was actually a reenactment of the Battle of Stirling from Braveheart.  We can only hope that there were enough survivors for Wooster to field a team this season...

:D

was actually some chronological dyskenisia as the battle was represented as culloden and bonnie prince charlie was centuries aged to william wallace

Heard Witt will be passing exclusively from wishbone double tight and is experimenting with a six wide power running set.  The playbook has been dubbed the Springfield Project, were thinking of tabbing it the Miami Valley Project, but then feared it would be confused with the Manhattan Project.

More to follow as breaking news indicates the advent of the 7-1 DIAMOND and 6-2 BOX in and around Edwards - Maurer.

Ok this board is a little quiet this close to the season.

I will throw some things out:

Who will be the suprise team in the NCAC in 06?

Who will dissappoint?

Who will be Offensive/Defensive Players of the Year?

Coach of the Year?

What will be the Biggest Blowout?

What will be the Biggest Upset?

Biggest impact Freshman in the League?

Any early predictions?
