A red & white kilt?  A six pack of McEwans? How about a small scale bronze model of our respective Touchdown Penises (Penii?).

Why would you need a small scale model of anything that small?? ;D ;D

If the Wooster/CWRU game was ugly, then an obvious fish would be the "crappie".

There is a crappie on the stringer.  Another great story waiting to be told!  Come on Scotsmen...give us the scoop!

Pat, good one!

I like the idea of a kilt...but red & white seems too Wabashy.  Maybe an old gold & red kilt with white and black trimmings...call it the Woobash kilt and have little tassels in either red & white or old gold & black with the scores somehow stitched on or something like that indicating the winner (red & white for the Bash and olde gold and black for Woo).

Yes Wally, you caught me in an inconsistent moment.  As my other posts bear out I'm not sold on the turf.  But then all grass fields are not created equal as you all will attest from Allegheny's old field.

Yes...Allegheny's old field.  Let us never speak of it again.   ;D

I like the name. But putting the scores on it seems to make it more of a Woobash quilt and that's just not a tough football trophy.

The scores won't be ON the kilt, they would be on tassles attached to the kilt around the waist...kilts do have tassles.  It would look nothing like a quilt.

I like my trophies to have, shall I say, certain functionalities which lend themselves to post game celebratory activities.  Perhaps instead of a kilt, we could construct a large, "water"tight sporran?

how about something similar to the Baird brothers trophy...instead of fish we could use animals...

the kilt reminds of an old joke...young Scottish girl goes up to a Scotsman wearing his kilt and asks...not goin there...

I'm sure a kilt can be pretty handy for postgame celebrations as well, but I get what you mean.

This all makes me think about that flag football commercial. "FLAGS!"

What happened to Kenyon?

It seems that coaching "discipline" against the players for their performance, behavior, and attitudes in the Claremont game only hurt the team against Case. That is the only reason for Sanchez not to be starting at QB and Coombs to have so few carries. Coombs is a workhorse and if Sanchez isn't throwing well, its best they show some respect to a RB who became the face of the team and ride him until his career is over. Knee-jerk reactions are not the best thing to motivate a team. Challanging players is one thing, but pulling indiscriminately may not be the best thing at all times. Team chemistry can be fragile, and the last thing Stanley needs is to negatively disrupt that. However, all that being said, they still have a chance to go 6-1 in conference again, especially with the recent poor performances of OWU.  All in all, ride coombs and Sanchez's legs... now is not the time to bail on the seniors and players who helped Stanley rebuild the program. They remained loyal to the Lords, he at least owes them the same loyalty.
