Bash lining up for the 28 yarder for the win 3 seconds left.

I'd love to see a tape of this game.  Nice game Witt.

Brutal, absolutely brutal.

No excuses.  You have to hit a 28 yarder to win it...just have to.

So would I.  I am interested in the calls at the end.

Turnovers and special teams........Win or loose big games.

This one stings a bit.

a 28 yarder to win it is more than you could have asked for. That kick needed to be good and it wasn't. The ghost of Mark Server wasn't with us today.

We had our chances. But we came up short.

Great game, Witt. This series is something special. But this hurts like a kick in the balls.

Just spoke to someone who was at the game... as bad as the call sounded over the webcast (Huffman's fumble on 4th down), it was WORSE in person.  The ball came out as he was going up.  Not only did they not rule it a fumble, they PLAYED THE DOWN OVER!  Wow.

Walker's knee is bad.  That really stings too for this game (so early) and for the season.  Again, what a great kid.

A classic game today in Springfield.  Congrats to the Tigers.

Word from Springfield (with Walker) is that there is a chance that it is only the MCL.  Which would be a good thing.

Just got back from the game. Pretty sloppy to say the least on both sides of the ball. Thought Witt did a great job of shutting down the Wabash O in the second half... until the last 2 drives that is. Witt's QB is going to be good after he grows up a bit and learns to either tuck it and run or throw it away when there is nothing there. he did a much better job in the 2nd half.

Some folks have alluded to the mystery call on Witt's last drive. The referee explained it as an inadvertent whistle. They blew the whistle while the ball was still in play so they actually had a "do-over". Didn't know you could do that in college football. Don't know if it was the proper call or not. Honestly, I wasn't even sure who had the ball on that play.

My opinion on these two teams... not so sure either one is really great. I'll be interested to see what either does if they make the playoffs. Witt seems very undersized on defense and gave up alot of 3rd and long conversions. They also couldn't get any pressure at all on the Wabash QB which hurt them. Wabash D struggled against the run and the INT's that were thrown were more due to dopped or tipped passes rather than bad throws by the QB. Witt really blew some chances in the 1st half and should have scored at least one more touchdown when they were inside the 5 on 2 occasions.

Hats off to both teams. It was a very exciting game to watch.
