The new Woo mascot, MacLeod, can be seen here:

I am so disappointed that he doesn't look at all like Mel Gibson in Braveheart! He looks Egyptian or Iraqi....... ::)

THANK YOU Wooster Booster! All the loose mispellings make posters here look like losers (from the OAC  :o). No one individual mind you. The loose misuse of the English language would make every English department in the NCAC cringe to claim any poster as an alum...  ;) Silly men... ;D

But grammatical and spelling errors lend realism to previous comparisons with the SEC... with exception provided Kenyon ;D ;D ;D

I hate to interrupt the War on Misspelling here, but I'm curious to know if anybody out of the Wooster camp knows the extent of Schafer's injury and whether or not he's likely to go next weekend in C'ville.

I'm pretty sure I spelled everything properly, so hopefully I'll get a response.

Now, now, Wally, we must stay the course on the War On Mispelling.  If we don't fight them out here on the net, soon we'll have to fight them in our homes. ;)

The Wooster Daily Record called it a groin injury, but made no comment on whether Schafer will be available in Indiana.  If I come across any other info I'll be sure to put it up.  Should be a good game at Wabash next weekend. I'm hoping I can pick up the Wooster radio station in Alliance where I'll be rooting for Mt. Union to knock off the huns from Capital.

Why do the new mascot for wooster and I both look like Groucho Marx?  All Scots expect a man with black hair to bring the first gift of the new year across the threshold for good luck, were really a rarity amongst the Midlothians.

Midlothians weren't they related to klingons?????? come on MacLeod could you please dumb it down a little for those of us who are fans of NCAC football and yet couldn't graduate from community college.......
So if you think about it... We have to kill these animals or else they will die...... Guess that makes us environmentalists

ScotLass

chilly, chilly, chilly

Midlothians are people who had mid to lo SAT scores but could play sports so they got in ;D

Midlothian is a word brought down from Gaelic.  16 letters in the Gaelic alphabet if memory serves correct.  Simply means the Middle Lands or Middle Earth or something to that effect.  Midlothians are Scots from the middle parts, sorta Edinburgh and the surrounding area.  People from Glasgow, or Weejuns as theyre called, would be West Lothians.

Bring up the Midlothians, because the ports of Scotlands Eastern coast introduced sailors and other foreign bloodlines to the Scots, hence the dark hair.  Along the same lines as the black Irish of the Spanish Armada era.

Could always be the North Coast title up for grabs, or should I say the highlands.

Would like to see this freshman class at Witt come in on a good note, ie a conference championship, but most of all would like to see them improve every year during their four years.  Would especially like to see this years group of seniors get a conference championship ring.

Playoffs are one thing, but am convinced the best way to succeed in the playoffs is recividity, it doesnt have to be a perennial thing.  Wouldnt be ashamed for the conference to send any of the candidates.  Hell if Theil can go to the playoffs why not Obelrin, maybe they could dig their jerseys up out of the endzone.  Kenyons looking pretty favorable at the moment.

Its important that this freshamn class sets its roots, and firms a good foundation to succeed in both the class room and on the field.

Playoffs will take care of themselves for whomever is deserving in three weeks, but finals, well they can conflict with playoffs and getting there.

MacLeod, thanks for the history lesson, Here all along I thought Midlothians were related to klingons, when in fact they are from middle earth right out of the Lord of the Rings. In a steel cage match would you bet barrel of meade on a Midlothian or a Berserker?
ScottLass,, Athletes with low to mid SATS shucks I thought they were MidlOACthians now as Paul Harvy would say I know the rest of the story

Macleod - 1 ; Creepy Priest and Berserker from the Beastmster - 0

Good measure for a program, regarding admissions and monies, might be not only those numbers coming in, but those numbers going out.  But that would only be fair for those schools with a high percentage of outgoing students to graduate school.

While my SATs wouldve gotten me into Witt, not sure they merited the same monies without football.  Developments what we pay for, and would put my LSAT up against any of my peers from the front side.

See lots of theses conversations over on the NESCAC board with regards to privileges and how many student athletes a coach or program may sidetrack or fasttrack through admissions or financial aid.

Theres definitely a changing of the guard when there are conversations regarding more than five teams for conference champ in week 7.

Would be interested to see an Academic All NCAC Team.

WabashCPA is next...

You can't take me out, Hoss.  CPA's here in town are dropping like flies.  You'll have half of Crawfordsville chasing you down.

I'll crash your Bell tailgate if you're not careful.

BashBacker#16

BashCPA,

Ha!  You are welcome at the tailgate - you know that.  Smeds - sorry I was so hard on you...but you had to laugh on the Luzader remark...did you?  Classic.

Can't wait to see Wabash & Wooster this weekend.
