When the red socks busted on to the scene in 2002 (Knott, Boulais & Co.) - we got on a roll starting with DPU at home.  I was glad they came back out as well.

I still think we should have gone black socks at home in the all red...a la Miami of OH or Rutgers...

Black socks would be too close to Black and Gold for my taste...

There is a disturbing trend of tossing black onto one's unis just for the sake of doing it.  You see it all over the professional leagues, and it's happening more and more in college (the latest disgrace being the monstrosities that Florida State wore this past Saturday)...I don't like it. I'd prefer white socks with the red/red unis we have now or going back to the red socks with the white striped pants that we used at home in '02.  That was sharp.

I was disturbed when the club lacrosse team in '98 threw black in the unis. I, too, hate the "black unis even though we don't have black in our offical color scheme" b.s.

I read an article in Texas Monthly a while back which told of how a couple of years ago Vince Young tried to convince Mack Brown to let them wear the black practice jerseys QBs wear for a home game and Brown said "not as long as I'm the head coach. Our colors are burnt orange and white".

I feel the same way. Our colors are Scarlet and White. That's it. No black.

Our red/red home unis would look better if they were the pants with white stripes down them like Wabash wore my freshman and sophomore years (95 & 96). But the all-red is too much.

Oh, and why is the word "Wabash" on the front so damn small? The old jerseys had "Wabash" in print so large Professor Barnes could have read it.

Me thinks you are correct scotty....the defense can only do so much.....an offense will have to show up Saturday.....

The Mo' has to be on Woosters side going into this one after that Hail Mary.  Any win over Allegheny is a big win, but winning in that fashion steeps the Mo' in luck.  An ever dangerous combination.

Going into this one you have to look at Woosters ability to defend the pass as the most important inquiry.

The next question has to be health for the Scots.

Woosters got a great line.  Not one of these small athletic lines, but one of those huge lines that lean on you unitl you break late in the game.  Again all the more important for the pass game and Wabash as they shouldnt like for it to be close late.

Looking at opponents in common worth a darn, the Allegheny matchups have to favor Wabash, but the proximity in time and Mo' may favor Woo.

Comparing the Witt games it has to be a wash.  Both teams should have new vigor given their newfound hope with Witt losing to conference foe OWU.

If this ones close, Wabash does have the dreaded and often discussed homefield advantage to try and neutralize that delterious effect Woos line can have on a defense.

What are the chances Bash comes out pounding the rock?

Wooster's ability or inability to defend the 8 to 12 yard pass will determine the outcome of the game... :-\

Well, with OWU pulling it off, now have to change my weekend plans. Have not been to C-ville for a while. I really do not expect Wooster to win, however, based on what I have seen this year. They have a nice record so far this year, but except for Witt just have not played very good teams, with all due respect to Allegheny. But I have certainly been wrong before.  And with the win Sat. and OWU winning and a playoff spot hanging out there, anything can happen. I am thinking Reiff  could get in sooner than later, also.
It should be a beautiful fall day for football. And we gain an hour Sat. nite.
Great.

Scotty,
I agree game in and game out that little clearing route has killed the Scots all year... I would like to see the Scots offense give it a try once in a while, kinda that whats good for the goose is good for the gander theory
