Gentlemen,

As we know it might be a little early to begin speaking about recruiting, but why not.  I am curious as to other schools in the NCAC invovle Alumni in thier recruiting.  Ii know that Wabash utilizes every resource at its disposal.  By that I mean referalls, calling kids, recruit bannquets, etc.  Anjy thoughts?

Resepctfully submitted,

And it's dropping like Bush's approval rating.

Again, another telling karma-to-post ratio.

CWRU makes it 5 NCAC games for 2007.  OWU will come to Case (Western Reserve) Field on Nov 10.  OWU was already on the schedule for 2008 & 2009.  Hiram is also on tap for those years when the schedule is all NCAC and UAA teams (including former UAA football member Rochester).

Puppies hire a 35 year veteran of high school & college coaching. Is there a change in the air in Hiram? This, if there is, the guy that could make them competitive.

I hope so. I'd like to see them able to win some games.

How about we pick the conference standings now before recruiting info and then see how close we come.

Wabash (will run the table and go to the playoffs undefeated)
Witt (lost some key people it will take a year or so to replace but retrun good depth)
Gheny (getting better and better ... could suprise Witt and place above them)
OWU (they play hard aand with lots of heart when they are not turning on themselves)
Wooster (goodby seniors ... hello learning curve)
Obe ... I think they will rise to the occassion
Kenyon (Ben should be gone by then ... or else all pancaked out)
Earlham (desparately in need of a double redshirt at QB)
Denison (what can you say)
Hiram (new coach ... same tune)

wabco

D3 just posted the NORTH All Star Teams.  Congrats:

FIRST TEAM:
Russell WR (Jr. Wabash)
Murray RB (Sr. Witt)
Pynenberg LB (Jr. Wabash)
Geffert CB (Jr. Woo)
Whiteside K (Jr. Gheny)

SECOND TEAM:
Drushal T (Sr. Woo)
Millikan T (Sr. Wabash)
Schubert RET (Jr. Obe)
French DT (Sr. Woo)

THIRD TEAM:
Huff QB (Sr. Wabash)
Coombs RB (Sr. Kenyon)
White WR (Jr. Earlham)
Londot T (Sr. Witt)
Certain G (Sr. Wabash)
Funk C (Sr. Witt)

COMMENT:  In my view, Huff is better than third team and other Wabash receivers deserved to be listed.  I thought the conference was very well represented on the All Star Teams ... a compliment to the schools, coaches and players.

Think the North was just too playoff rich in quality quarterbacks this year wabco.  Especially if Huff returns for another season.  Best QB in the NCAC this year - speaking of what are now referred to as traditional quarterbacks.

Huffmans promise at Witt will only be realized if Coach Finchams continues bring in the hardnose line recruits he is known for.  Really like the way the staff has shaped up also.  There are a few assistants that will be lured away eventually, but thats where that little thing tradition that is often thrown in the face is returned.

best regards,
Carmels Slick
See that, that spells Adidas

If Alma had nominated Josh Brehm, Huff probably wouldn't have been on the team at all.
