i imagine there were some large individuals at the cool clinic. since we are strictly talking ol play, and most of those guys played ol, it wasn't a fancy pants receivers clinic.

Maybe a high-tech, fancy pants system like that could work in the intellectually savy NCAC pick 'ems but I think you have to be happy just to get coherent responses from contestants in the OAC Pick 'Em (myself included).

Maybe am always collating, but this was either directed at the 3W's and Gheny or the MIAA.

Tell me again, who is running the A formation short punt as an offense between the 30's?

Taking shots at the linemen?  Reasons they score higher on the Wunderlik?

Wabash has a very early roster posted with incoming Frosh.  Some good names listed.

Any word on Witt's class yet?

wabco

Looks like Brent ran out of numbers and didn't list specific info on a bunch of Rhynes ... but if you know them, I think it is a very fine class which CC and Co have recruited.

Thanks for the info...not to be an idiot...but what is the "D" after some of the numbers...i.e. 16 for Lehman and 16 D for Raspopovich? I realize they are duplicate numbers---do they wait to see if the frosh will be a varsity player and then give him his own number? Just curious...

INQBScout

...also recently heard that Matt Upshaw, QB from Warren Central in Indianapolis, has committed to play football at Valpo...did any of the Indiana D III's go after him?

wabco

The "D" as in 16 D is simply a dublicate number.  The ultimate number assigned will be different.  The 16 D is a QB number.

I checked with the Wabash sports information director ... the reason many of the frosh do not have position/height/weight/school/town  numbers/info  in the preseason rooster yet is that he lists the information as he has time and as they return a questionaire to him.  So, the listing is an organic list ... it will grow every few days in information disclosed.

INQBscout - know anything about Raspopovish from Merrillville?  6'4 195 ?

- Lemond led the state in receiving this year with 94 catches
- Blake was 1st team All State in MI for a very good program - Lowell (Brock Graham's H.S.)
- Looks like 3 younger brothers of former/current players...Dawson, Hilts, Sparks
- 3 are sons of Wabash grads...Grand, Ramsey, Kolisek
- first set of twins in a very long time (Powers' from Mishawaka Marian)
- Chamblee would have one the NCAC High Jump at 6'4"

I see Wabash found a # of GOOD Fr QBs!  However, it seems they missed out on Andrew Durbin of Carmel High School.  Durbin, who lead Carmel to the IN State Championship Game is headed to Wittenburg.  Durbin stands 6'5 and is 215.  He appears to be a Great get for the tigers.

I've never seen him play---so can't comment on mechanics, etc. He obviously has great size and played for a large and very competitive football school. Have heard (only second hand) that he is a decent thrower---but not above average...also I think he may have been hurt for a portion of last year---or maybe it was two years ago. At any rate, it sounds like a good find for Wabash---especially with a QB-friendly coach like Creighton.

***Also, nice get in Lemond---he'll do well in your system.

Will be interesting to watch him develop at Witt. I saw him play probably 3 or 4 times---including once when he was youngster (perhaps sophomore season?). Has really nice size and a pretty decent arm...thought his mechanics were a bit uneasy...but to me he seemed to have some raw ability...especially with his size. Know nothing about his heart, intangibles, etc...how do you think he will be slotted on the depth chart heading into his frosh year?

I have actually seen the Carmel QB play...I thought he was a pretty good HS QB, he is a big boy...not something you see a lot of at the D3 level.  Sounds like a good class for Wabash.

I spoke to an assistant at DePauw in Indy he thought they did well this year, brought is 60+ kids, 5-10 transfers, he didn't give me any names other than Koors (wr) and branigan (te) from cathedral (I asked him if they got any cathedral kids this year b/c I'm a grad) but thought they did well at wr/te and over all on defense

I thought it was interesting that he said Butler did a great job this year and plucked a few that would usually end up at wabash or depauw.  I had no idea they where all recruiting the same kids??

Mr. Ypsi

Welcome to the boards!

Is there some story behind a poster with iwu in his name making his first post ever in the NCAC room? :)

iwu2314

I am originally from Indy, went to cathedral my good friend and current roomate is a frequent d3sports poster and former little giant.  I, however, spent 2 years at wabash and then moved on to Illinois Wesleyan.  I've been meaning to join...just getting around to it.
