BB#16: Frustrated w/the website? The operation & direction of the program is much more than just frustrating.....
Wally: Nice dig....OWU Football: We might not beat you...and we won't participate in film exchange...
Losing to Franklin 2 straight years and now Catholic coming to Delaware could spell problems for the Bishops....Then the LG's...
"H" always comes up with a run in the season....these poor starts are getting old.

Franklin vs. Wabash

- Franklin started a Freshman center (I would not want to face the Bash front and ILBs)
- one OT is 220
- A freshman, Adam Wheat (6'0 205), started at ILB for Franklin - I wonder if all conference LB Teddy Henkle is injured

The freshman center looks like a stout young man (6-0, 250) from a good program in Carmel, but I think Kennon, Gangloff, Lange, et. al. can give him issues.

The starting OTs are 250 and 265. Their line is all between 250 and 270. What roster were you looking at?

Looks like Henkle is listed as Wheat's backup.

With 7 tackles and 12 assists, is Lance Pickrell the "Stan Bales memoral fall-on-the-pile-and-get-an-assist" candidate??

Brent - he's #11 and I had better see some reasonable tackle numbers when I check the website Saturday night. My plans are to catch Gustavus Adolphus against Willamette in St. Peters after my client review meeting.

Oh, and there is no rain on the scarecrow, as Franklin sophomore SE Adam Mellencamp is the son of Tony and Charlene, not John and whatever wife he was on in 1988.

Wabash weekly press release:  http://www.wabash.edu/sports/docs/Release9507.pdf

The size of the right side of the Bash O-Line is a wall for sure.  (Reminds me of the line Witt had a few years back)

Also, Jared Lange (DE, WC) and  Jarred Kleptz (OL, FC)  should know each other pretty well being from the same senior class at Terre Haute North.

FC has good size at LB.

A-Rode should create some match-up problems in the FC flats and secondary with his size and speed.

It will be a game.  Is it Saturday yet?

Looks like one really got away from Wooster. Andrew O'Connell, who played one year in 2005 for the SCots, has made the roster at Indiana. He really looked like an elite corner, someone who could have been like another Nick Hajjar, just a little taller and a little more explosive.

Just checked the Hoosiers season roster, don't see him on there.   Anyone have an update?

Maybe...LStats, 18 hours and a summer internship...who really knows but I still love the "little guy"...

Bash, Thanks for the WabCo report. Creighton was very honest about his team's performance at Wheaton. After a poor showing in the scrimmage, I think that will help the team emotionally going into this weeks game...unless of course they really aren't as good as everyone says. Coupled with the loss from last  year...I'm looking for Wabash to come out and play some smash mouth football.

Wally Wabash,

Since you are the chief spokesman for this board, the NCAC and all of the teams in the NCAC, perhaps you or your stooge Nike could comment om last weekends games. I would be particularly interested in the OAC versus NCAC games.

Remember, football only.  No "Well, my school is smarter than your school".

Thanks!

Nice to see the OAC trolls are back.

And while I respect Wally, no one is a "approved NCAC board spokesman" nor a "stooge".

It's simple, the NCAC got one handed to them last week, except for Kenyon. It was disappointing. But we will not simper and kowtow to the "big bad OAC" just because we had a bad week.

It is football - sometimes you win - sometimes you lose.

Flattering, but everybody here has their own voice...I speak only for myself.

To answer your question...last week was pretty much atrocious for the NCAC.  I was particularly disappointed in the Oberlin and Denison results.  Not so much in that they lost the games (although I did think those were winnable games for the NCAC) but in the manner in which those games were lost.  It was pretty bad.

As for the NCAC vs. OAC games....I'm not surprised at all by either of those results.  By most accounts, Wooster has no offensive identity right now and is in the midst of a pretty serious rebuilding situation.  Witt kept things marginally close with Capital, but are also searching for an offense in the post-Murray era.  Given the previous results of the Cap/Witt series, I don't think anybody should have been too surprised by the Crusader win there.

But don't worry...I think the NCAC will get one back on the OAC this weekend up in Tiffin.   ;)

And sometimes ... in the case of OAC ... you go to class ... that is ... if the tutor has not gone ahead for you.  Go look for your stooge hat MUC57

MUC57, I think you're the same poster who used to post in the past -- we've grown beyond that kind of petty crap in the past couple years here.

Was his tongue firmly planted in his cheek with "I just feel like we are so outmatched"???

Nice parallel between Franklin and App. State as well.

Give me a break.

Side note - Rupp averaged 5.5 yds per attempt against OWU.  Looks like a lot of dink and dunk pass plays on the horizon.  Also, OWU had drives of 14 and 22 plays, so the opportunity is there to wear out their defense.  Not sure our offense is suited to that kind of grinding, however.  We'll find out Saturday.

Thats funny stuff.

The underdog needs to stay the underdog, its their only chance to win mentality.

Great quotes. ;D

Looks like the OWU game was decided on a couple of big plays.  I like FC's balance - they made big plays on offense and special teams, and the defense stepped up when it had to.  FC sure likes to get out to a fast start, then hang on for dear life.
