The actual line from D3......

Most likely Top 25 team to be upset: Setting aside games in which Top 25 teams are playing each other, this week's pick for the upset special is Franklin over No. 23 Wabash. Yes, the Little Giants "always fight" but the Grizzlies are the ones who should be in a cantankerous mood. Franklin missed the playoffs despite a 9-1 finish and a 45-38 overtime win over Hoosier State rival Wabash.

Personally I love it.........Fuel for the Fire in our Hearts, Eyes, Mind....and in our Gut

Personally, I don't see the big deal. It would be a minor upset at best; Coach Leonard's heap of praise notwithstanding.

Let's just get to kickoff and settle the damn thing on the field.

From the outside world - it would be an upset mainly because it's at Wabash. I think both teams are good teams and this game will definitely help each team in their conference games. If Wabash takes care of business, they will win. If not, there'll be issues.

Of course, that's normally the case when playing teams of quality and distinction.

Wabash Always Fights!

Amen, Lil Giant....is it Saturday yet?

I'm not a Franklin fan, but I do follow the HCAC.  I look for it to be a good game early with one of the two teams pulling away late because of turnovers and big plays.  It could go either way, but I think the edge goes to Wabash because they are at home with their huge following and surely remember last year's game.

I do not think a write up on D3football.com is going to have an effect on this game.  As most of you who played sports know, those who play on emotion early often have to deal with coming down from that "high".   I doubt any Wabash player who will make a contribution got anything more than a chuckle out of the article.

Good luck to all NCAC teams goin to battle tomorrow.  May it be an injury free and winning weekend.

Bash - Take care of business

Earlham - Build on last week and get the win

Denison - You should win this.....go out and do it

Wooster -  You have the talent, put it together.

Oberlin - You're better then last week showed.  Find it.

Hiram - GO Terriers!

OWU -  The second half showed you can compete... Send Catholic packing.

Kenyon -  Find a defense this week and if you can't, just put 70 up again.  ;)

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Terrible Terrier

Good Luck to all the NCAC teams today... Lets Go HIRAM TERRIERS jump off the porch, hit the ground running like your chasing a 400lb mailman in shorts who's delivering a mail bag full of Omaha steaks!!! Not some "heart smart" soy pseudo meat product, not tofu painted to look like a steak, not even boca steak... REAL 100% pure PRIME grade steak! Now is the time Terriers!! Show us just how hungry you Terriers really are!!!
The Terriers might not beat you on the football field, but we always leave our mark!

Hymes apparently broke his leg in last week's OWU game.  He of course is not playing.

Could be a long day for the Bishops.

Dear Old Wabash, thy loyal sons shall ever love thee, And o'er thy classic halls, the scarlet flag shall proudly flash; Long in our hearts we'll bear the sweetest mem'ries of thee, Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash.

Early report from Hollett is that Franklin traveled well (not a surprise) and that Wabash is going with the red-on-red unis.  >:(

It's Community Day at Wabash. There was a youth football clinic. And then we wear red-on-red? Will someone please think of the children?

Can't wait for kickoff....

Oh, and Bashbro, that's awesome!

The radar is showing a ton of rain crossing over from Illinois and heading to C-Ville.  This is going to be a wet one.

Wally is reporting that at the moment the rain is barely noticeable, but we'll see how it goes. I hope this doesn't destroy the field like it was last year. Field turf, anyone?
