Would it help our street cred if Hiram beat Manchester?

wally:Ya don't replace a Tristan Murray - He was 50% of the Tiger "O"...they must spread the ball around...like throw to solid WR Pat Williams, he's having a good start. Running game is ok for early season...Alma counters with RB McGrady (MIAA Player of Week)..1 pt loss to Cornell hurt Alma then stung by W-Eau Claire..Witt has beaten an MIAA team and did it on the road...edge: Wittenberg. Make or break for COW...maybe. They lost alot from graduation...only 4 starters back on "D"...Retooling for the Kilts....Gheny-CMU?...Another Western Pa battle for the Gators....Edge to the Tartan-Heads...Poor start for the conference so far....

Big Saturday for CWRU and Wooster in Cleveland.  M & W Soccer in the afternon.  At night, it's the fish stringer game, fireworks, and free streaming video (Not 15 bucks like Wooster).

I'm looking for the trifecta.

No mention of Geffert's being replaced in the Wooster preview.  Hope it looked worse than it was.  BTW CWRU will have an ambulance outside the stadium.

Did I misread the schedule or did it change?  Anyway M Soccer is the 26th @ COW not the 22 @ CWRU (6-0).

...   2 days and a wake-up......Battle at Selby.......
The pressure builds in Delaware..... is enormous.

AUeagle - interesting 2-deep comparisons in this week's press release/game preview for Bash vs. OWU.  Interesting Hollway is 1-7 vs. Bash and 0-5 vs. CC.

http://www.wabash.edu/sports/docs/Release91107a.pdf - Bash looks to have a substantial size advantage - probably more so with the D-front vs. OWU O-line.  Bash's D-front is big, fast, and deep with multiple rotations and playmakers.  Bubba Lange is off to a great start, who can block #11 Darryl Kennon, and Gangloff brings it in the middle.  Would expect Bash in a 4-man front this week.

Go Bash!

Hymes played in 3 games for Witt in 04. Witt website has archives of game stats for last 10 years.

Even with Murray gone from the Witt backfield, # 35  FB Vanover is back but is not getting the ball much. They ran a frosh against Olivet who shows promise but needs experience. HB Braziel is not big enough. OL center and RG get pushed around a bit. Both sophs. Offense just can't get on track. QB was inaccurate to a degree. Threw some in the ground but had some drops. Gets pressured alot due to OLine weaknesses.  Real Big guys on bench but maybe they can't do the job. Looks like staff is experimenting and trying for a better run next two yrs. Supposedly good frosh class, several starting and on 2-deep. Squeaked by the Comets. Don't be surprised if the Scots squeeze back.

Men of Wabsh, Nathan Osborn (SE) was Sprinter of the Year at Outdoor Track & Field Championships...Fear the Speed....Scatback?

I am not finding Nathan Osborn, on the OWU 2-deep?

Is he hurt?
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

So can Hymes come back next year and play again because he only played three games for Witt, as Hollway suggested at NCAC conference kickoff? How does this work in d3? Does other Osborne play defense?
And finally, has Hollway ever won the NCAC conference outright or shared? 25 years is a long time to coach.  May go Delaware instead of Cleveland this week.  If my wife can be convinced that it is a date. I know there will be room in Selby.  There is one place in Delaware that has really good fish!

If Hymes was hurt and applied for a medical redshirt - perhaps...

It is my understanding that Hymes left Witt un-injured and simply decided to transfer schools for unknown reasons. No knowledge of medical but I can't say for sure.

b-bro: Nathan Osborn was on the roster & was listed as a participant vs Catholic, he did not catch a ball...Frosh Greg Orr got the nod....The Catholic preview did not show Osborn on the projected "Deep" roster either....
wittdad: I will see if I can find my NCAA Rule Book on subject D3 Transfer/Eligibility.
Witt RB Andy Vanover is a horse at 6'2 215...Give him the ball...it's still early....
Battle at Selby: Saturday weather...86 Sunny...perfect
MOW: Sure , it's the same Bishop "O", but, look for wrinkles...Frosh "Athlete" Fisher does take snaps at QB along w/Boff...reminds me of Cooper at OSUw/Jackson & Germaine...anyway....with 2 full weeks of nothing to do but think about Wabash...I would think the Bishop staff has come up with multiple looks to off-set the LG's....
BB#16: "H" can't beat CC...Great...still like Bishop's chances....at Selby and again...OWU staff has had 2 weeks to prepare for this...that is one reason why this game is big for OWU...they can not afford to get behind LG's like Franklin (27-0) & Catholic (20-7)....1st QT is key for tempo & respect...

the general who wins a battle makes many calculations in his temple ere the battle is fought. The general who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand. Thus do many calculations lead to victory, and few calculations to defeat: how much more no calculation at all! It is by attention to this point that I can foresee who is likely to w in or lose.

I'm glad you attributed that quote to Sun Tzu.  I was thinking it was a quote from Marty Schottenheimer.   ;)
