Been watching OWU for several years now and its obvious that Hollway needs to get actively involved with all phases of the teams play. Not just with the offense. Never saw a defense so consistently snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Big trouble stopping the pass. Giving up big runs in key spots late in   games. Gets back to fundamentals. Instead of breaking down and  tackling, they grab the jerseys, arm tackle and  reaching for the ball  trying to make the big play. Have to stop the DE's from running around like chickens without a head on every play. Might as well take them off the field and play with 9 guys. Stay home and make the tackle. One QB this week please.

I dislike the Red on Red. I am a proud member of the Uniwatch blog (Paul Lukas') and these things DO matter! Though I am for purple as a color and Mr. Lukas is against it.

If you think I'm nuts, remember, he does weekly thing on ESPN Page 2 and also has his blog:

Red on red reminds me of the Cleveland Indians' unis of the 70's. Who wanted to see Boog Powell looked like an over-ripe tomato?

Of course, the Wabash red-red is light years better than whatever the heck Oregon wears.

I also hate some of the new-fangled fonts on uniforms.

Wow...this is completely contrary to what I've seen from OWU in the last 5 or so years.  In the games I've seen, OWU plays defense more than well enough to win, but that offense is absolutely crippling.  Wabash doesn't get shut out in a half very often...OWU pulled that trick and it wasn't even a bend-but-not-break situation.  They stuffed it in Wabash's craw for the first half at Selby (something like 50-ish total yards in the half for the LGs).  In 2005 Wabash needed a halfback pass and a fake field goal to get into the endzone early against OWU's defense.  OWU even had a DPOY a couple of years ago.

Generating 9 points against a Wooster team that has been getting completely lit up this year...is that loss really on the D?

bashbro: I'd give the edge to the Bishops too....because it's at Selby...I think it will be close (wally 17.5?)...Boff had a good game last week, but he is a passer only...Frosh Fisher is the athlete QB. I think Fisher struggled in part, because he is a freshman.
ravens: I hear ya man.......ONE QB!! Pick your guy and stay with him.
Regarding the Wabash Red: Standford wore red pants-Bad...could you imagine Wisconsin in red pants-No...something about white pants, maybe a understated stripe..nothing bold...look at Saint John's...classy, and with the number on the helmet, Yes.
ScotLass: Nice dig....socks go with the pants, right?
and sense we are on uniforms...put the Bishop back on the helmet and get rid of the broad strip on the pants...
smedindy: in my Tribe book there is a photo of Oscar Gamble with the 'Fro in the all-red....Yikes!
cwru: CSN will replay the game during the week too....let's hope it's worth watching a 2nd & 3rd time....

I believe its either garamond lite, Times New Roman or maybe even a Bookman oldstyle.  ;D  and yes.  I hope not to see it next year.

I think it would be better if it said...."We got the Bell"

Also:
I think its cool that local TV will be taping the game on Saturday, although showing it on Tuesday or Wednesday kinda dilutes the benefit.

I meant on other uniforms, not the Wabash uniforms. Amidon has me drilled in the proper Wabash fonts.

I don't know about now, but when I was on The Bachelor staff Garamond was the main font.

The D played well at times against Wabash  and last year against Witt at home. However ,those have been the exceptions and not the rule. Review the scores the past couple of seasons and you will notice  a half dozen games or so that were blown in the 4th quarter. As far as the offense, They lost #15 at QB for the year and Rice graduated .This will be a work in progress. The o scored more than enough points the last few seasons to be competitive and win games. Need to stick with one QB if the O is going to jell at all this season.
