Werent u saying last wk you thought Olaf ranking was right

Yes, the Olaf ranking was right. They are that good. Bethel, somehow, someway, lost to a mediocre Buena Vista team at the beginning of the season.

What I do know is that St. John's, St. Olaf and Bethel would be extremely tough matchups for anyone in the NCAC, and Gustavus, Concordia, and Carleton would be threats to almost all of the teams, too.

What is EXCELLENT news for Wabash is the Capital result. Now, if things hold out Wabash can avoid the Purple Monster from Alliance until the round of 8. Of course, Wheaton would stand in their way, but still...

Wheaton has some tough games left. They're not out of the woods yet.

IF Wabash and Wheaton both win out (and MUC beats Cap), I only had Cap at 4th seed anyway.  Now, unless they upset MUC, they may in danger of missing the tourney completely.

Only one where they seem to be in real danger, but that season-ending trip to Bloomington is beginning to look like no fun (for them, at least ;D)!

Pat Coleman

I did say that two weeks ago, yes. But that was before they gave up 51 to Concordia-Moorhead. That's why I felt they were ripe for the upset.

Is it too soon to dream that Cap bounces back and beats MUC, and Wheaton stumbles against IWU, and . . .  :)

TD Huffman on a QB sneak should just about wrap it up.  A solid drive after an INT by Brown. Just over 3 minutes to go.  Vanover goes over 100 yards rushing on the drive, so a nice bounceback week for him after the drop at the end of the game last week..

Now, let's not get too greedy. Mt. Union has already lost one OAC game this decade!  ;)

Well, here we are again. Another game of shoulda, woulda, coulda, but just didn't. The leaves were nice on the drive to and from Allegheny..... ;D

Looks like it was a good game over in Meadville Lass.  Lots of D.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

bashbro,

Let's just say it was more painful then the stats and score might indicate. Let's just call this " Lost Opportunities" with a familiar cast of characters. The field goal into the wind was awesome. The linebackers played well. The new field was nice, the visitor bleachers are atrocious. The Woo fans were loud and rose to their potential. The directing was mediocre and using a few understudies might help before we head to Broadway..... ;)

Well, next Saturday it will be fun to see how many wonderful folks come from Indiana to Wooster.
It is hard to tell just how good  Wabash is because the NCAC teams are so mediocre this year. But after today and after the way they handled Witt, I am preparing for a trip to Alliance.  I know you Wabash folks don't want to talk about that yet, but my team is Wooster and this is not 2004, so I'll talk about  a possible Mt. game and plan on seeing you guys in the playoffs.  And Alliance is a very short jaunt. Barring an injury and/or major malfunction, that game should happen. And Wabash folks wear success well, much better than some schools. Once the season ends we are all NCAC folks.

Bishops gave the Tigers all they could handle at Witt's Homecoming
Frosh QB Mike Fisher leads Bishops in rushing - 51 yds
Passing Fisher does 15/23/1 for 229 yds/1 TD...
Part of the problem is the next highest rusher had 24 yds...
Kudos to Wittenberg and the radio cast....very professional and the guys were right on with the comments.....and the Witt website is outstanding too...they are up-to-date with all the game stats and running score...the way it ought to be...
Ohio Wesleyan will have the story on the game on Monday sometime.....
