I can't even guess how he got on the roof of Goodrich or why he was up there.

I certainly didn't believe it as a student but I do now; NOTHING good happens after 2 a.m.

How tragic.

Nothing can be more painful than the loss of a child. My heart goes out to the Woehnker family and to Patrick's Wabash family.

First chance to talk about Saturday's game, but it will hold till another day. My prayers are for the young man's family and school.

My thoughts & prayers go to the Wabash Family and to the young man's family..
Delaware Recap:
Bishops played with an intensity I haven't seen in a long time....
Defense won the game and was SWARMING...3,4,5 guys around the ball..it was great..Coach Delaney had his guys up & ready...nice game plan...
Opening drive had 2 nice throws by QB Fisher...look-out NCAC, this guy is around for 3 more years..but, he has got to stay healthy....with the offense the Bishops run...that's tough.
Bishops match '06 wins with 3...#4 will be Saturday....
Box score said 1800 at Selby.....it felt more like 1300...I counted about 100 on the Gator side...Homecoming was cold!!!
Fans, alumni & others want to win..and that was very evident on Saturday...the bar is slowly being raised....and there was another guy at Selby that wants the Bishop back on the helmet too!!
A solid win against a good program...Gator lineman were big...
Congrats to the LG's...win out..I know CC says one at a time...but go into the playoffs perfect and make the run to Salem...

Is this the bishop that OWU puts on the front of the baseball helmets? If so that definitely needs to be on the football helmets.

I hope OWU keeps it going. I know it's not until next week but OWU would be able to pull to .500 if they beat both Hiram and Case. And we all really want you to beat Case.  ;)

Taking a look at the regional rankings coupled with the D3 and AFCA rankings.  It appears Wabash is a solid # 3 seed and Franklin is slotted around 6. Possibly a rematch looms in 3 weeks?

smedindy

Regional rankings are all that will matter in seeding, for the most part.

As I see it, the North seedings now would be:
1. Mount Union
2. Wheaton (Ill.)
3. Wabash
4. Case Western Reserve
5. Franklin
6. Mount St. Joseph
7. Hope
8. Concordia / Lakeland (Don't know the IBC tie-breaker)

But, the NCAA may move it to this based on travel:

Mt. U - Mt. St. Joe
Wheaton - IBC winner
Wabash - Hope
Case - Franklin

Congrats to the Wabash College Little Giants on their NCAC championship and for making the playoffs for the third time in the last 7 years.

Congrats to OWU on a great win on Saturday.

Win this week for an undefeated conference record and sole grip on 1st place. Go Wabash, beat Denison.

Concordia is close enough to Alliance to take a bus (just barely), Lakeland is too far.  I'd have to assume that Concordia holds the tiebreak over Lakeland based on the head-to-head matchup, so the naturally seeded matchups could be maintained as you have them smeds without sacrificing geographic proximity (defined as 500 miles by the NCAA).

I agree with Wally. The only other factor is that Wheaton/Hope would be a rematch in round 1. The committee didn't care about that in past years (only rematches between conf foes-wheaton/alma, wheaton/hope). I would expect the matchups to keep the seeding integrity with the only exception the possibility of wheaton/CUW and MUC/hope.

The wrench comes if Case loses to WashU. They would still likely go but their seeding position may change making franklin/mt st joe 1st round opponents via the seedings. I would expect the committee to adjust that.

If CWRU were to lose, they'd definitely slip below Franklin and MSJ, but not any further than the 3-loss teams.  In the case of a CWRU loss, 1 and 2 and 7 and 8 stay the same.  3-6 would be:

3. Wabash
4. Franklin
5. MSJ
6. CWRU

Obviously we can't have a Franklin/MSJ first round game, so I think we'd be left with the same MSJ/Wabash and Franklin/CWRU games, with the only difference being the site of the FC/CWRU game.

Is MSJ a safe Pool C bet right now?

I'm not sure you can say that a Pool C bet would be safe at this point.  There are still too many factors that would need to be resolved.  Say Illinois Wesleyan wins out.  They get the Pool A spot for the CCIW.  Wheaton would be a strong choice for Pool C over MSJ.

I agree with this scenario. Barring unforseen and likely circumstances (per matblake's post) I think MSJ is a safe bet. "bet" implies risk which would mean they too could lose out if the scenarios change.
