On Senior Day with a chance to go undefeated in NCAC play...there's no way Wabash allows this game to be close.  Quick prediction: Wabash isn't giving up two bills on the ground for a second week in a row.  Denison is going to have to get out of their comfort zone and throw if they're going to have a chance to keep this thing competitive.

WAF78,

Senior Day is a big deal for CC and his team.  Dads are in the locker room pre-game and the team should be jacked to close out the NCAC season.  Weather looks ideal, should be a great day for Bash football (I hope).

I would certainly expect the Bash D to prove a point this Saturday coming back from a less then stellar performance at Wooster.

Huge day for Adi too, he'll likely break the career tackle mark (surpassing 400!) set by a Wabash legend, Jim "Killer" Kilbane and break the career Tackles for Loss held by Blair Hammer.  Not bad company for an undersized Inside LB...

Bash rolls in this one!

WAF78

Just saw that all the DPU tickets are now sold...so I'll be watching on TV again this year. No more DPU comments until next week. Go Wabash, beat Denison.

I used to think that playing Denison or Hiram before the Bell would hurt us - but not when it's at home, because CC won't allow it.

So you are saying they will seed people so that no one has to fly:o

I'm not saying they won't fly anyone, but I do believe they try as hard as they can to keep it from happening.

sorry guys, I was trying to keep an old joke alive at your expense. I am aware of the fear of flying the NCAA has. I will let it go.....for now.  ;) :D

In Pool C news, Capital's at-large resume takes a little ding today as ONU dropped out of the regional rankings in favor of North Central.  This may be temporary, particularly if IWU loses to Wheaton which would almost certainly knock IWU out and put ONU back into the regional top 10.

IWU plays @ North Central this weekend. One of the two is gone from regional rankings. Neither of these teams has a chance at Pool C in my opinion. Their only hope for postseason is the AQ.

Look for CC to get his team well for the two games AFTER Denison.  Some dinged up guys may see only a little or even no game time (except for seniors who will get in).  I personally hope for a day where lots of people get their uniforms dirty.  PLUS ... go you Adi!

Wax on ... Wax off.

AUEagle,

Total coincidence but my neighbor played 4 years at St. Johns (graduated mid-90's) - we raz each other quite a bit during the season - especially this year since both of us are undefeated.  Has some pretty cool stories about Coach Gagliardi.  He and his wife are moving to Denver, CO after a short stint here in Indianapolis.  But before he goes, he will attend his first Wabash game this weekend - hope he digs it.

St. John's is the real real deal. They could contend this year if they become more consistent. The talent is there. And their sea of red is the second most impressive sea of red I've ever seen!  ;)

114th Monon Bell game is officially a sellout - both sides.

Telecast parties are impressive - here are the locations:  http://www.wabash.edu/alumni/news.cfm?news_ID=5124

Here are the individual locations...a lot in Ohio.  http://www.depauw.edu/alumni/monon/telecastparties2007.asp

Bashbro - if I ever look like the dude carrying the DPU flag (see photo above) and actually have a fake helmet on leading the Little Giants out...do me a favor and put a bullet in me.   ;D

Sorry for the Bell hype...now back to the task at hand...the Big Red from Denison.

They always bring their big flags to the game....all we bring is the Bell.  ;)
