Wow, when I saw the header of Whitewater bracket I thought for sure that was the west and they moved in a random team to make the travel work. Then, I saw the rest of it. It's verrrry interesting!

The first pairing put up there was UWWW/Capital.  Immediately I thought it was interesting that Cap made the field and found it even more interesting that they were moved to the West of all things.  Then the NCC/Franklin game turned and I realized that this was going to be UWWW seemingly out of place and that MUC had to be moved elsewhere.  It was really strange watching these pairings today...very different than what we've gotten used to seeing.  This isn't a bad thing.  I think it's great that we'll get some more interregional pairings and nontraditional matchups.  Should make for an interesting tournament.

This just in....there ARE other teams in the North region other than MUC, OAC #2, and Wheaton.  There are good football teams here...there's nothing easy about it.

Wally, I wouldn' t be so defensive about HSC's comment. I think the North is a much stronger region with a healthy Cap and Wheaton to go along w wabash and NCC. I think a region with

#2 wheaton
#3 Wabash
#4 Cap
#5 NCC

would be a better gauge of the strength of the North than the region we are putting up. It's no knock on wabash (I have seen the bash) but Case, MSJ, and a stricken Cap don't make for a strong region.

Exactly.

For those of you interested in college football history, please go over to our MIAA board and read my post about the new book that just came out; "Forward Pass, The Play that Saved College Football", by Phil Brooks, former longtime Alma College Head Football Coach; it was published by a major publisher in PA.  Much about Alma, Wabash and Notre Dame re; the Stagg, Harper connection, etc.  A great read and I highly recommend it.

After having the remainder of the weekend to grieve, it's time to turn the page.  Wabash still has a chance to do some really great things this season.  In the words of Jake Taylor, "Well then I guess there's only one thing left to do...win the whole f'n thing."

Adi #40 - Bash All-American - Made the best tackle on a goal line stand that anyone from any school in the history of College football might ever see.

I will be putting it on Youtube later!

I haven't read through the whole board yet but if you haven't posted a link yet, I'm definitely interested in seeing this!

That was part of the charm. :)

As you can see, the NCAA actually listed the brackets with the Mount Union grouping on top. However, for TV and drama purposes we started with the lower half of the bracket, so we could save the bombshell for later. And get UW-Eau Claire as one of the last teams listed.

I would love to be in Crawfordsville for Saturday's match up.

I may try to make it happen.

These brackets are unreal....IMO, made the playoffs that much more to talk about. . . after it was looking to be a snoozer in the North all year.

Here is the #40 tackle in the Bell Game.  Sorry for the bad quality, I am technically challenged.

Enjoy. Big play by a great player at a critical time in the biggest game.

Who do you think wanted it more on that play?  WOW

Still in denial about getting beat on a 47 yd FG by a backup.

Tough matchup Saturday - LG's are going to have to put this behind them and get ready for MSJ.

The good news coming out of Saturday is we're still playing, and that game gives the guys additional experience in a playoff-like atmosphere.

wally_wabash

That was a great play.  I couldn't see it as my view into that corner of the field was completely obstructed.  What a play.

Very bummed that LG's lost The Bell.....but, felt even more that the Bishops couldn't pull out the upset in Cleveland...yet, not all was lost.
Now, the New Season starts....Wabash in the hunt and the Bishops get to retool....

how much did that FB weigh that your guy stoned at the goal-line?

Do they feed everyone so well over there?
