QuoteDude's gotta janky release, his blog's a little annoying from time to time, he hasn't yet won a game he wasn't suppose to, but damn if he hasn't won me over. He's like a big, awkward, Sendak creature, tossing the ball like a fallen limb, and hard, and you know what? I would SO take that over dpu's dainty tiny tim and his embarrassingly oversized uniform and stupid name and his weak-ass avon-calling powder puff passes, never mind the spirals. They look like they're yawned out of his body.

Hudson is winning this game. I just know it.

Freaking hilarious that a Wabash guy would make a post like this. Maybe you should pull out the DVD from last year's game and check out the sideline shots. Your quarterback crying after throwing another interception. Your back crying after getting knocked out of the game...and of course we all witnessed the candy ass Wabash fans slithering to the warmth of their cars, unable to withstand the finality of the beat down on your home turf. Keep the comedy coming...good for some laughsbut will also make watching Wabash get its ass kicked---for the third straight year---that much more enjoyable! Wabash Always Fights.  :D

BashDad,

I believe you may have struck a nerve....

I think Hudson's blog, sorry whine, should be tacked up in the DePauw locker room.

Why?  What in the blog post is inflammatory?  He said he wants to win the Bell back.  How dare he!!

maybe we should move all of this to the Monon Bell board......

The other NCAC's may be getting tired of it.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Does it matter what he said?  The fact that he came out and said anything out ought to be reason enough for everybody in the black jerseys to read it.

He writes every single week.  This isn't new.  He's always careful not to sprinkle "bulletin board material" in his blog posts...something that I think he's done a great job with over the last few years.

If your team wants to read it, fine...I just don't see anything there that is going stir the Tigers up into a frenzy.

How about some conference talk...a couple of discussion points:

- Anybody else really rooting for Denison to pile on Earlham in the "Don't Let the Doorknob Hit You On Your Way Out" Bowl?  I hope Denison wins by 60.

- Players of the year?  Defense I think has to be Vallery from Witt.  14.5 sacks is ridiculous.  I know the Wooster crowd loves some Matt DeGrand, but there's no way that the DPOY can come off of that defense.  OPOY...yikes.  Every viable candidate has some serious issues.  Hudson missed two games (the biggest two games at that).  Huffman...meh, he threw four INTs in the biggest game he played in.  Holter...piles on the total offense yards against lesser teams but has really been average at best in the big games.  I can't decide where this award should go.

Players of the year.

Offense -  (alphabetical order)

Holter - His legacy will be ...."Put up huge numbers, great athlete, made some bad decisions"
Hudson - Missing two games, hurt him.  Still a top candidate.  Fighting through adversity.
Huffman - Even with tough Bash game...deserves serious consideration.
Lemond - Has to get a look - 13 TD's 17.6 yards a catch - 893 yards.  Stepped up when Matt was out.

(Knowing the NCAC - Huffman gets it.)

Defense -

Vallery  - Lock.   or they could give it to the entire Witt defense.

Obviously I'm rooting for Holter for OPOY...but you can't look past Harry Von Kann- from Kenyon. That dude is putting up some serious numbers! Leads the conference in catches, YPG, all-purpose, and is up there in PR and KR.  Sure, he plays for Kenyon, but I'd bet he'd play for most teams in the conference. ;D

bashbrother,
If we were tired of Wabash chest-beating, frothing at the mouth, wild-eyed, rabid behavior, we'd have left a long time ago (and many did...)
Don't you dare take this street fight anywhere else, it's way too entertaining ;-)

DPU3619

Thanks, man.  I don't necessarily mind a lot of the crap that goes back and forth around here and I'm just as guilty as anybody else on a lot of it, but that, in particular, has always made me cringe.  I appreciate it.

bashbrother (and ALL Men of Wabash)....
Don't move this to a Monon Bell board or anywhere else....
And this NCAC man will never tire of the Classic you have
with the Tigers...This game is huge for the LG's and the NCAC....
116th game and Saturday's winner takes the lead....
I will be in S. Carolina on Sat.....BUT, I will be tuned-in!!!
Good-Luck!

bashbrother

So be it.... thanks for the hospitality fellow NCAC'ers

Wes -  no problem... it was across the line......
