old wabash

depauw never quits...
whining...
making excuses...
calling foul when they cannot handle the heat...
playing woulda, coulda, shoulda...
saying "you did not win, we lost"...
etc...

in other words, acting like dannies!!!
then they wonder why "we hate them stinkin' dannies"!!!!

Fripp52

wabco, what the hell do you even know about it ?  Were you there ?  Since I was, let me point out that the play was over.  One of the wababies cheap shotted our corner who recovered a fumble.  I shoved him or her, I don't remember if it was a male or female.  He then backed up and kicked me in the stomach.  As I said, who does that ?  I am over it.  And such class again with your post......  Who's whining anyway ?  We got beat.  Are there plays that could have changed the outcome ? Yes, almost every game of football that is played has those.  Do fans talk about them afterwards ?  Yes we do.  And old wababy, hatred does even come close to describing what I feel for your school, your fans, the parents of anyone associated with your school, your administration, the colors red and white, your coaches, your players, the p***y who kicked me, the Wababy coach I dropped after that play, Crawfordsville, IN..........see you next year.

No time to gloat boys, we have a playoff game to win!

I think Belichick had some of the brown acid at halftime, and his trip kicked in during the 4th quarter.

He should have just had half a tab...

I would characterize IWU as a very similar team to Wabash in terms of structure. Their offense will look similar but they get into a 2 back look sometimes. They operate mostly from the shotgun on offense. Their senior qb is a lot like Hudson. 6-5, 210 (lefty) and a gunslinger. not real mobile but will occasionally run (see the NCC game). Talent at all the skill positions. OLine is big and their center and LT are all conference kids. The backup qb, Rooney, has played in every game over the last 2 years so has a lot of experience. He is much shorter (5-10?) and a good runner. They do a lot of planned runs with him and he scrambles. His arm isn't as strong so he tends to throw shorter pass routes.

Defensively Nick Nikolich (LB), Robert Beauchamp (FS) and Roman Hunter (C) are the best players. They are fast on defense and play a 2 deep look. They are a base 4-3 defense but substitute to get into a 3-4 defense from which they blitz a fair amount. They play several different fronts on defense (4-3, 3-4, 46).

The good news is both teams will have great films to evaluate. IWU gets the Depauw tape which will be helpful and Wabash will see both NCC and Wheaton games (teams trade the last 3 I believe). IWU's last game against North Park won't be of much use to the Bash coaches. Happy to address any specifics via here or PM me.

visitor side is small (unlikely to install extra stands is my guess) but great tailgate area in the Shirk center parking lot. visitor locker room is under the home bleachers. It's a grass field and in pretty good shape.

All that rage...and 2 days later at that.  I can't imagine how mad he was right after the game...or maybe he was one of the thousands of DPU fans that bolted at 32-13 to get a head start on thrashing the inside of the Fripp R.V.

And about the comment on the PrAC board...I'm just a huge fan of Thomas More.  Don't take it so personal, buddy.    ;)

Now ... the secod half you got flat out OUT COACHED as well.  Wonder how Walker would have done ... had your "correctness" type administration not fired him and hid?  Your assistant better be updating his resume.  The job is not one of longevity.  Now how many new head coaches in the last 5 years?

I believe I said that, too. I fail to see the point of your post as a whole, since I said in my last post that you guys owned us for the last 30 minutes of the football game.  I don't really know where else I should go, or what else I should say.  I cannot be more frank with you people than that.

I say again that I do think he was hurt, but that had absolutely no effect or impact on you guys totally taking over the football game in the second half.  It just doesn't.  You can give points defensively, but if you give them points offensively, too, you're never going to win.  Again, as Coach Mora says, "I don't care who you play.  Whether it's a high school team, a junior college team, a college team, much less an NFL team, when you turn the ball over... you ain't gonna beat anybody."  You're just not.  Don't turn it over.  Don't give up big plays.  Don't miss tackles.  We're better than that.  DePauw is a much better football team than the way they played the second half on Saturday.  I called it an embarassment on the Monon board, and I'm still sticking with it.  There was no effort.  There was no want.  There was no nothing.  That team laid down after halftime.

EDIT:  Just for the sake of being extremely clear on how I feel about that football game.  You guys played better.  You guys were better.  We were not there when we had to be.  I don't know why I go so far as to say things like that if that still gets me called out.  Like when I say things like you absolutely kicked our ass up and down the field for 30 minutes and jerk-off wabco still drives the bus over me.  Cool.

Sure did.  I think Witt looks good to get to the round of 8, although I'm curious to see what Whalen can do against that defense (provided CWRU can get by Trine...Sparty hasn't looked particularly dominant lately).

Witt has an easier draw (as well they should). I don't know if they should book their tickets to Whitewater yet, but that's where I see them winding up.

As I have said multiple times, Wabash deserved it Saturday. Made plays. No whining here.  But Wes, for you to post something like this is a bunch of crap. Gutless. You want to say anyone of those guys laid down and I will tell you that you are an idiot. Pathetic. I know this is a message board and things get thrown around but that is ridiculous. You talk about embarassment...for you to post something like that is an embarassment.

I was just messing with you Wabash boys!  ;)

Good luck to both Witt and Wabash in the NCAA's!  Make the NCAC proud!

I like both team's chances of advancing past the first round.  However, I see the road ending there for Wabash and, unfortunately, I see Whitewater being the end of the line for both NCAC teams.   :-\  But, you never know and that's why they play the games isn't it?

The posts since the game just confirmed what I already knew.  Wabash students and alumni are a-holes.  Take a look at last year's posts after we kicked you a**es.  For the most part, we were objective and reasonable.  Wes is being objective for the most part and he is a fan.  Just like you guys.  But your posts are ridiculous.  And you want to know about another class move........take a look at the posts to Thomas More on the PAC thread from Wally and Wabash CPA, nice move.  Let me think back to last year......I think I personally wished you guys the best and sent some encouraging words your way before and during the Case game and then the Wheaton game.  What do we get from you, "just when you think you've scrored enough points, score some more, bury them.........".  That's class all the way and what I have grown to expect.  But, I already knew that - in 1983 when your candy ass fullback kicked me in the stomach.  Who kicks another player ?  Wabash players, that's who.  Who makes the choice to attend an all male college for four years ?  I have no idea how to describe those people.  See you next year.

Give me a break.  Besides the fact that you need to come to grips with a 26 year old anger issue, how do you describe the current DPU students who called my 12 year old son a "homo" Saturday because he was wearing a Wabash shirt at the game?  Or the ones who told my 17 year old high school junior daughter that she should attend DPU to find some real c***?  That's was real classy and much more recent.

Since you want to generalize, should I put you in the same camp as those DPU students?

I am not, have not and will not get into some of the trash talking that goes on from time to time between Wabash and DePauw fans. I will however, take just a minute to tell you about something that happened after that game on Saturday that I found rather moving.  We were all down on the field after the game, celebrating getting the bell back. I remember only too well, being on that very same field, for the first time, when we lost the bell 2 years ago. We were not treated very well by some of the DePauw fans on the field, but after a few beers, some people have a hard time behaving, but it was really no big deal. This time though, we won and we were just enjoying ourselves hugging and talking to our son. We were there for quite a while, when I heard someone call out to my son by name. It was #2 from DePauw. He had politely stood back and waited for us to greet our son, before coming up to congradulate him on a good game. This kid had just spent the better part of an afternoon trying to knock my son out, and here he was waiting to hug him.....Now I don't know about you, but to me, that is what this whole D3 football thing is all about....

Wow.... you need therapy man.  1983 was 26 years ago.  If you were a freshman, that would make you about 44.  I had the same hatred for DPU when I was 21.  You are carryiong a lot of baggage fella.  You kicked our ass last year ( my exuse...as a FAN... was that the Delt house thing screwed up the team's psyche).  We kicked your ass this year (Wes' excuse is that Spud got hurt).  It all evens out over time.  No need to have so much hate.  I mean... you hate my MOM?!?!?!
