The hit on Huffman was absolutely brutal!!!  Wow.  Pseudo QB draw that wasn't there and he got sandwiched between an outside backer and DE, the Backer's helmet hit him square helmet to helmet so hard that their heads bounced off of one another.  I hope he is ok but I bet he cannot tell you his name.

Wittdaone - not to get side tracked...but c'mon ??  McKinley specifically is the dirtiest player I have seen.  Didn't he have 3 personal foul penalties alone vs. Bash his Frosh year?  BTW:  is he injured in this game?  He looks like he is slightly limping...doesn't look 100%.

Witt looks great at the half and moving the ball.  What a good game so far.  Go Witt!

Scoring drives for witt: 79 yards, 83 yards.

Very sad that Huffman seems to be out....

Huffman was playing the best football of his life in these playoffs.... i hope he is OK.

Witt D needs to step up even more now.

Is it just me or does Coppage start about 15 -20 yards behind the line of scrimmage?

UWW misses another FG...... Witt needs a break on offense.  Go Witt!
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Oh, and look whose team IS statistically the  most penalized in the conference. My, my. I am sure that's an easily explained aberration.

Personally, I think closing ranks a bit in the playoffs like most people have done and supporting our conference teams is the better way to go rather than making ugly remarks  about each other in front of people that might only visit this forum once per year.

Good season by Witt. Although I didn't get to watch any of the game, it sounds like after halftime the game changed dramatically with Huffman not being in there.

Congrats Witt on representing the NCAC well.
WE ARE.................PENN STATE!

Congrats to Witt for representing the NCAC well in the playoffs.  The Tigers held the Warhawks to their lowest point total since last year's Stagg Bowl.

Witt should be a team to watch on the national scene in 2010.  No flying under the radar next year!
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

Dan the Man,

Since when does that statistic equate to playing "chippy" or "dirty?"  Wouldn't the applicable stat be # of personal foul penalties?

Congrats to Witt on a very solid playoff run and a good effort today.  Down 14-13 at half with Huffman going out very late in the half (inside UW-W's 10) they managed to outgain UW-W 194 to 185 in total yards at the break.  The #2 QB settled in a little in the 2nd half until the late INT to set up the Warhawks final TD but he took some sacks that really hurt.  It was a good game to watch though.

BTW - I thought Witt's backup was Durbin (from Carmel H.S.) - anyone know if he was hurt or got beat out?

Lastly, anyone else bum when a big game is played indoors like the SEC championship game?

Very impressive game from Wittenberg today...they were much better than advertised!!! Who knows how the game might turn out if your QB would of stayed in the game. the game was much closer than the final 31-13 score. I now have much respect for Wittenberg, best team we've played all year, your offense was very much underated coming into that game.

Great game and take care   :)

Huffman was 11 for 12 in passing - he looked excellent.  Very impressed.  Great battle by Wittenberg.  Kudos to the Tigers and their fans.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Damn!  Nice game Witt!

I already can't wait for next season...

Go Wabash!

Heckuva job today, Witt. Had me believing there for most of it. Absolutely nothing to hang your head about with that effort

Congratulations to the Wittenberg Tigers and their fans today. The Tigers played a GREAT GAME! Huffman is an outstanding QB and it is too bad he got hurt. I hope he is OK.  Zoeller did a good job in his own right, and really stepped up by throwing a TD on his first play. From watching today's game, the level of separation between UWW and Wittenberg is not nearly as great as I thought it was. I think Wittenberg has an opportunity to be right there as a potential National Championship contender in the upcoming years. I believe everyone who walked away from the game today has a great deal of respect for the Tigers. Congratulations on a great game and a great season.

Sorry to be late in posting my congrats to Wittenberg on an excellent season and well played game.  Personal business kept me away from the computer until this morning.

I hope the quarterback is going to be ok.  He took the nastiest hit that I've seen so far this season.  The impact was so strong that it knocked both of our defenders backwards and he was sandwiched between them.  It hurt me clear up in the press box.  I can't really imagine how he felt.

I thought Wittenberg was the best team we've seen this season.  I'm just glad we got a few breaks and were able to wear them down as the game entered it's later phases.

Good luck in the future.

Congratulations to Wittenberg for hanging tough Saturday.  I hope your QB is okay.
Impressive year and welcome back to the upper tier of D3 football.
You represent Ohio and the NCAC very well.  8)

Once again, congratulations on a GREAT season and an excellent football game to the Wittenberg Tigers. For those of you interested, I did a posting on my blog entitled, "Whittenberg No Paper Tigers" which was basically a game writeup.

I hope all who ventured to The Perk had a great experience! You should be proud of your team.
