Excellent list, but no special teams? :)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Thanks Ryan.  I have added the Special Teams.  Also I think it would be cool it you guys at D3.com did and all Decade team.

Also of Note Denison, EC, Hiram weren't represented in my all-decade team.

You could make and arguments for:
EC's QB Justin Rummell, and WR Joe White but its a very hard sell vs Knott, LeMond, and Aljancie
Denison Top player over the last Decade is Jon Berg.  While a 2x 1st All NCAC running back he falls short of the 2 players ahead of him.
Hiram has had just 1 player receive 1st team all NCAC over the past Decade (or ever) and if players like BJ Hammer Wabash 00, Jaun Howard Witt 01, Dave Pisanick Allegheny 03,  Joe Kearney Wooster 04, Evan Watson Wooster 06, Chris Pisani Oberlin 07, and Darryl Kennon Wabash 08 can not make the DL on my team how can I or anyone justify putting Humphrey Caswell on the list.

I would have Josh Bronaugh as an NCAC all-aecade RS.  A Third WR could be Mike Russell.

I like the Tristan Murray choice, but is Casey Donaldson being overlooked because his career ended in 2000?

The answer is yes.  However, I don't want to be the end all be all on this topic and I think maybe it could spark an off-season discussion.  For me the only clear cut players on this list are:

Sutton RB
Knott QB
Short TE
Drushal OL

Hammer DL
Pynenberg LB
Hajjar DB

No one is talking me out of these guys being all-decade!  They were the best! If Vallery has a season in 2010 like he did in 2009 he will be one of the best.  But as of now he is a one year wonder and might stay that way.

I think Casey Donaldson was a better player than Murray but not by much and Murruy played 3 seasons in this Decade.  Donaldson's best season statistically was 1998.  In fact Donaldson didn't even lead the NCAC in rushing or rushing TD his Sr season (1396 and 21) Shane Ream did (1636 and 27).

I also liked Seth Duerr this list but removed because of what the Wabash's ILB did in the Decade.

Mike Russell was a guy I almost had on the list.  His junior season was awesome! But an avg sophomore year (for the list) and an injury riddled senior season made me feel better about the other two.

Happy New Year to my North Coast friends.

A little quick and dirty math tells me it's a short 316 days until our Bell comes home to roost.

Maybe...if Koors can figure out how to throw to himself.   :)

I've heard rumors that the NCAA has added two years eligibility for Spud Dick, as compensation for having to go through life with that name! ;D
