Facilities upgrades = recruiting assistance = program advancement

Bottom line.   Top D3 and lower prospects from upper divisions (DII and DI) all want to feel that they are playing at a college program, not at a high school facility with more seats.  (The upgrades Wabash has done already (Like Allen) has helped get them where they are today.  Also Monon Bell,  National TV exposure, CC, overall history etc.)

One of the best examples on record - Look at what it did in Eugene with the upgrade at Autzen starting in 1988.

University of Oregon had a Football record of 91-109 - 4.  Between 1977-and 1994. (1989 was the first bowl appearance during this time (1 year after they started upgrades) and Brook's career ended with a Pac-10 championship in 1994 and a Rose Bowl Bid)

Their record from 1994 to present is 126 - 58.  (Bellotti gets a bunch of credit) - I believe they have gone to a bowl almost every year.

Onward and upward!   Bravo Wabash!

Let's hope that Wabash doesn't adopt the Oregon uniform rotation abomination.

Definitely!   It is as if the program is Nike's lab rat.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Not without its perks...have you seen that locker room?

Yup.... it has to be the 2nd best in NCAA College Football  (Second only to the Depauw Universities end-zone bathroom visiting locker room  ;))

The Ohio State locker room is quite impressive as well!

I'd be lying if I wasn't envious of all those upgrades. Kinda wish DPU would give athletics it's turn, and now that new admin is in charge, I guess it's possible. Although, we all know how I feel about the stupid crap DPU admin does. They built new math & science, new music & theater, new art, bought the Walden Inn (dumbest of all) all since they've done an athletic upgrade. I don't have the time to think about all the things they've done since a football upgrade. Got to be getting close here, right?!?!

Also, DePauw visiting lockers don't hold a candle to Trinity's. DePauw looks like the Yankee Stadium clubhouse compared to Trinity's lockers. It's like dressing 50 guys in my utility closet.

I know they like their Football in Texas, but isn't this a bit much?

With 3,900 students in grades 10-12 maybe they need another HS. Wonder what the student to teacher ratio is, or maybe just a huge number of teachers. It just seems to be too much expense for one school when so many are struggling to keep their doors open.

Not 100% sure about this stadium, but most stadiums are utilized by the school corporation.  This may be 1 school, or may be several.  #4 teaches and coaches in Mesquite, TX and they use 2 stadiums.  The stadium at the school holds 15,000, the other holds 22,000.  Both stadiums have the Sony big screen scoreboards.  Both are field turf.  The pressboxes are unbelievable.  You have to take an elevator to get into the pressbox.  Most schools have the inflatable tunnels to run out of.  Not sure how to insert photo, or would have.
