Bro -

Love to get a square of that field to plant down in E-ville with Glenn L.   Get up there, pick up a section, worth the trip.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

That's a pretty solid idea. I'm on it.

Idea:  How about Wabash cuts and cultivates a section of the football sod and then re-cuts it into small sections and "sells" it at the Wooster game?  Let the service fraternity APO do this as a fun and fund raiser.  Cut it, replant it in a vacant area of the athletic fields, feed and water, get some boxes for its ultimate placement and delivery, put out the "word" on the Runge Blog or other blog on the Wabash web site and have APO take "reservations" and have it to deliver/"sell" at the first home game to those who want it. ... Price is a free will donation for the chunk of history.

I think the Detroit Tigers did this ... only there was a price ... not a good will offering and it went to the Tigers ... not a charity.

Just an idea.  I suspect you would be amazed at the response.  (Good amazement ... I think.)

Great idea.  From the looks of it though, someone better hurry.

Speaking of ideas -  Right now is the time that we should start a campaign to bring ESPN "College GameDay" to C-Ville for the Monon Bell Game -  New Turf - perfect.   We usually wait until October to give it a shot

1. Witt II, 2002: Knott throws into the wind on 3rd and goal, between two defenders to Bronaugh for six. Might just be the best throw I've ever seen in person. You could HEAR the ball cutting through the wind and then the THUMP as it struck pads. Incredible. Huge throw.

Amen.  That was the best throw I've seen in person without question.  That pass would have been sick in a dome.  Outside and straight into that wind....just unbelievable.

Where does OWU rank with facilities in the OAC?
Who is better- who is worse?

75 bucks

Easier yet- where do they rank in NCAC?

I would have to agree.  To have a legitimate chance of ever having this happen.  I think that BashBro or Wally would be the strongest canidates to run with this campaign.  I hope someone will get this started.

You should post it over on the SCAC board, as well.

To even out going to DPU for help with anything, I will contribute this: if one of the FOUNDERS of ESPN was a Wabash grad, as opposed to a Dannie, are we even having this conversation? Really, wouldn't this have already happened?

Bro-great thought, but it looks like they just scraped sod, earth, pipes and everything into a pile and were hauling it away in dump trucks, probably to some construction landfill somewhere. Sod is a valuable commodity and it is strange that no one thought to take it up and recycle it, either for nostalgia, use on the new baseball field, or even someone's front lawn. I seem to recall that the whole field at Hollett was resodded 3 years ago. It shouldn't have deteriorated much.

I agree.   Would have been nice.

Sounds like they were looking to get as far as they can on the project early because of the weather factor.   One bad Thunderstorm at this point and the project gets behind.   Until they get the slope right and drains and gravel down, weather is the enemy.

other theory:  They needed the dirt for mud to stop the oil spill.

75 bucks...I would like to think the Bishops rank in the top 3 in over-all facility war-fare with-in the NCAC,,,,,
Selby is old, but has great sight-lines & at 9100 capacity...has huge potential...Roy Rike Field  is one of the
best soccer stadiums in D3.....We talked about facilities a couple seasons ago.....AC, COW ( baseball is outstanding), Big Red are good...Bash is in their campaign to upgrade....I put it to the guys who is #1......I say OWU is my pick.....
