The 06 class went to WV for rafting and Sky diving, the 07 class hiked the Grand Canyon, 08 hiked Pike's Peak, and the 09 class did rafting in Jackson Hole and then hiked King's Peak.  I'm not sure what the '10 class did, and I'd like to know where this class is off to.

This epic press-release headline made me chuckle when I saw it on the front page:

"Case Edges Out Opponents to Claim Third Straight UAA Preseason Poll"

Wonder if they'll hang a banner...

Wabash-Sid -

Thank you and Kyle Bender for the updates on the field progress over the past couple of months.   This is a big deal and many people are excited about this project.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Because Wooster opens on Thursday, Sept. 2 instead of Saturday, Sept. 4, they open camp tomorrow. That means Wooster has three weeks to pick a starting quarterback who has never taken a collegiate snap, even in garbage time. Should be interesting.

The Bash seniors stayed last night in Iowa and on to Colorado today.  I heard they are heading for a 26 mile mountain!  BashDad - where did you guys go your year?  Pretty cool tradition...

The turf looks killer from the photos thus far, can't wait to see the finished product.

WAF!

P.S.  DadofBashWarrior - did you hear the story about Coach House's shades?  Andrew hooked him up :)

I have not heard the story of the shades...
"Da" Senior Trip is really a great tradition...

I have heard from "Da Coach" at Greenville today...Started practice last night at 10:15 PM and 105 degrees heat index today...Yikes....

BTW..."Da Bears" are going to get back their respect I believe this year...loved watching Garcon in the Superbowl...but would rather see my Bears there

Actually, you can't open camp early if you are playing early on Labor Day weekend. Division III approved playing on Thursday if Labor Day is Week 1 but specifically did NOT approve moving the date of the first practice.

The headline is odd (especially so since the "opponents" number only three), but the release was from the UAA and it hasn't even been posted on the CWRU website.

I talked to someone inside Wooster's program this morning, and was told that they filed the start date with the NCAA and are in compliance with the regulations.

I have no doubt of this. But Seinfeld's assertion that it was because of the Sept. 2 game is almost assuredly incorrect -- it would be against the rules.

The start of practice is based not only on the first game but the first day of classes, which is why teams that play in Week 1 do not all start practice on the same day. If Wooster seems to be earlier than others (they don't look that way to me -- many teams have already practiced) it's because of the academic schedule, not the Thursday night kickoff.

The absence of updates on the field's progress is surprisingly frustrating.

Pictures! I want more pictures! Gimme more pictures!

Just take a drive over there.  ;)

New York is closer than Florida I believe.
