I agree, Wheaton has depth issues on both Lines and will likely not play starters too long. That said, both teams are trying to figure out starting qb's so these guys need a solid shot at competing without getting "hypothetically killed". It's a fine line but certainly the result of the scrimmage won't mean much either way. For those more informed spectators the individual battles will be fun to watch but the chance to give 2's and 3's experience against quality coaching/programs is one of the biggest benefits.

Perhaps I should post this over on your CCIW board.  Although Hope doesn't play your Wheaton this year, in scouring the boards, I noticed in your post above that you mentioned Wheaton has some problems (or shall we say challenges) with regards to #'s this year.  Like Wheaton, Hope also has has to be careful as depth is shallow at most postitions, especially the linemen this year.  Only had 120 report for pre-season this year, as opposed to the 160 we've had the past 5 years or so.  That is a sign of the economic times, though, as we all know.  Anyway, good luck to your Wheaton this year.

Thanks for your note. Actually, I think Wheaton has the most on their roster ever this year (105?). Their issue is simply talent at some spots and this year its depth on OLine and Dline. There's some good young players in the pipe but you don't win CCIW titles and playoff games with underclassmen.

Maybe the Scots should have stuck to Saturdays.  

One quarter down...B-W is up on Wooster 17-0.  Wooster has -2 yards of offense.  Minus two.  They've given up TD passes of 40 and 59 yards and a 42-yard run that led to a field goal.  Not a good start for Wooster.  

Make it 24-0.  Total offense: B-W 232, Wooster -2.  If this were a game of Madden, Wooster would hit the reset button.  

31-0...4:42 left.  In the first half.  Holy cow.

It sounds like the new QB is not getting much protection up front.  I turned it off to focus on the OSU game after the 6th 3 and out.  We had a big play called back due to holding.  I did not expect this.
