ADL70 - how many times have you beaten Wabash in the playoffs?  Whalen's gone and that was your best shot(s).

we are spoiled.

What do 2007 and 2008 have to do with 2010?

Whalen is gone, but so are most on both teams from back then.

Have you seen Baum's numbers?

GP  Effic  Cmp-Att-Int  Pct  Yards   TD  Long  Avg/G
Joey Baum   5  167.2  112-153-4  73.2  1376    11   55    275.2

Not as flashy, but nearly as effecient.

After Oberlin's performances the last two weeks, this upcoming week for Wabash is no breather. There are issues that need to be addressed, and the Yeomen are no cupcake. The only pastry remaining on the schedule is Denison, and they're more of a scone or muffin than cupcake.

There aren't many realistic ways to get two teams into the playoffs. Wabash needs to beat Gheny and Witt, and for the best seeding beat DPU. Otherwise, the NCAC could be seeds 6 and 7 or 5 and 6 or something not good.

Gheny has two losses, and one to Witt. If Gheny wins the league, Witt would need to collapse and Wabash would have two losses.

The outside shot is Wooster beating Witt in week 10 and that being Witt's only loss. That would probably mean Witt is a "C", but then it depends...and that's never good.

The D-3 football scoreboards says that the Wash U. game is in region for Wabash and Wooster, but not Witt. Hmmm?

I don't know why it is an in-region game either.  Washington is not inside the 200-mile radius for either school, is South Evaluation Region (not North), is Region IV Administrative Region (not Region III), and is UAA.

Now if the UAA and the NCAC have petitioned to have the inter-conference games declared as in-region (which is what I would have done as an administrator at the college or conference level), then they can be in-region games.

I'm reading a lot of injury talk from the Wabash posters...were some key players hurt leading up to, or during, the Wash U game this past saturday?

You could say so.  But the injuries aren't responsible for Saturday's result.  Saturday's result is the product of a great effort by Washington coupled with a not-so-great effort from Wabash.

Bylaw 31.3.3.1.2.2.1 in the D-III manual says that there will not be any waivers granted for geographical in-regional consideration.  Unless I'm missing something (possible), Wabash vs. WashU is a non-regional game.

Was it the schedule where you saw this?  It doesn't say they are in region games now.  Did they change it?

Yes, I fixed it when it was pointed out.

Excellent.  By the way, thanks a ton for getting the schedule team links back in place!

Sure thing, although all I did was continue to press the folks at PrestoSports on it. :)

At 0-6, and with the bye week in place
for the Bishops.....I was wondering if
wally has a vegas spot on the OWU "O"
versus the OWU "D".....Could be the only
win the Red & Black get all year.....
(Even if it only counts as a half of a win)

Warhawk02,

Wabash lost both senior all american wide receivers in back to back weeks...Kody Lemond & Wes Chamblee to ACL injuries...Kody in the Wheaton scrimmage before the opener, Wes in the opener after 1 catch for a 72 yard TD.

On the bright side for OWU,  they will get the top pick in next years draft

Hiram went through several coaches in the last few years until they found one that they felt could build the program.  He is doing that one game and one season at a time.  Too bad we don't have any Terriers fans on here, to get their perspectives.

the Hiram College football team was defeated by Carnegie Mellon University, 62-31, today (Saturday, Oct. 2) in Pittsburgh, Pa. ...

Carnegie Mellon 35, Ohio Wesleyan 23  October 9th.

Hiram-OWU will be a "big" game.

Yea, that's a big loss....Out of curiosity, where do you see those two are listed at All American WRs?
