I was only referring to OWU and Hiram, again half in jest.  But there are D1 high school teams playing this weekend that are bigger, faster and better coached than a few, not all D3 colleges.  Again, just an opinion from playing and 20 years of watching.

     What a dispiriting set of boards for the night before Monon, not to mention Witt-Woo. Everyone here is discussing whether Ohio high school teams could beat Hiram and OWU; the Monon board is full of Dannies trying to figure out where to park their RVs. Lets have some great games tomorrow-Go Wabash-Go Scots-Go Terriers!

Played two of those 3 teams my senior year of HS. They would not, nor would any HS team, beat a college team. It's boys against men. C'mon now, our starting center was maybe 6' and 170 pounds... and he was all conference for a team that made the 2nd round of the D1 playoffs. Too much depth, too much strength and a whole different level of team speed at the college level.

Anyways, big day tomorrow - who would have thought after the way Woo started off the season that they'd still be in the mix for a share of the conference championship?

St Ed's starting "O" line averages 280.....at least 2 will play
D1 ball...the others will go mid-major......and they are VERY good....
Somebody must have a simulator that we could feed data on this
and get a prediction of a winner...........

What do you suggest OWU do this off season to become competitive?
There are high school teams in Ohio that would beat OWU or Hiram, period.  Maybe not Wooster or Wabash or Witt, but OWU and Hiram, yes.

Got off a croc/hippo infested, Chobe River fly fishing trip this morning and caught the noon flight back from Maun, so sorry I've been less than boisterous, particularly with a couple of the more, ummmm, arrogant Dannies being able to crawl out of the closet for a week - "red meat" indeed, on the Monon thread. 

Did find, along with one shattered rod, that "Tigers" indeed inhale and swallow.  DePauw to Hell!
