Witt down to the 5 yard line, make a play Woo!

Need a turnover...

Or not.  Witt TD run.

The_Bishop

Jeez, TD Witt.

2-point conversion fails.

Witt - 22
Woo - 17

Radio reports that Dannies are moving left to right on your radio dial down the railroad tracks.  Fantastic! !

That will do it.  Congrats to Witt - they are a worthy champion.  At least we went out on a high note today - not sure if we'll get enough help to sneak into the playoffs.

And we have a final...

Wabash 47
DePauw 0

Good thing Greencastle is close, 'cause that bus ride will be pretty quiet.

bashbrother

Depauw got wasted today.......on and off the field.   Engle looked like a deer in headlights on every HDNet close up.......  Swallow that Dannies..... you got your butt whooped........  Sorry for the lack of tack.  Safe to say you came into this one...a bit too confident.

See it again.

Wabash 47
Depauw 0

117th Monon Bell......

Depauw comes in 9-0
Wabash limps in at 7-2

Bam!  Wabash Always Fights.... and Depauw did quit in the 2nd half

Wooster Scots - Great fight today.... you should be proud....something to build on!

Congrats to Witt!  Best in Class.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

went to the woo_witt game... instant reaction is wow... can witt convert on long 3rd downs or what... woo didnt get pressure and it felt like witt converted on about 80% of their 3rd downs ( I am sure it wasn't that high, but felt like it) and wooster just shot them selves in the foot a few times. untimely interceptions and the like hurt us. the woo QB got hit on what seemed like every pass, and woo did not get enough pressure on the Witt QB. with that being said, as far as witt in the playoffs... I am concerned. I have watched a ton of OAC football this year, and only a little NCAC, and I would say witt may be the 4th best team in the OAC, somewhere around Otterbeins level. if thats the case, i would not expect anything more than a first round win for witt, and thats if they get a home game. if they go on the road ( as the RR project) in the first round, i think they can start focusing on academics a week earlier.

none the less, Congrats to the tigers 2010 NCAC champions

Thoughts on the Monon Bell Game:
!) Depauw cannot be as bad as they showed today, but they certainly did look terrible.
     2) Perhaps SCAC football isn't very good. DPU did go undefeated in the conferenbce as well as the non-conference schedule, until today, that is.
     3) The 'Bash probably still will not make the playoffs, so the season was ended on an incredible high note.
     4) DPU's seeding in the playoffs took a big hit today.
- and best of all -
     5) The minature Monon Bell which my wife bought as a trophy for my DPU son and me to bicker over remains in my library.

47- 0!
WOW!
An old fashioned whupass blowout, and I'm loving it!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LITTLE GIANT gridders!
When better women are made, Wabash men will make them.

That is what you call an old fashioned Arse Whoopin'!

The men really stepped up today. What a way for the seniors to finish at home.

WAF!  8-)

I think I said on here somewhere that it would be hard to get excited for a Bash game after the Witt loss  :-X.

I will now eat my own words.

Hell of a way to end the season and football careers for the seniors. I just wish Miracle's TD didn't get called back.

WAF!!!!!!!!!!!

And congrats to Witt for the title.

D is for dominate. And that is what you did in all three phases today...to put it mildly. After a tough season with some devastating injuries, your guys stepped up in THE game. They and you have much to be proud of. I have no doubt the Tigers will come back from this...but tonight it's very tough. That's why they play the game, baby. Enjoy the win...you deserve it Wallies.

Does Wabash have a shot at the playoffs?  DePauw did come very close when they whooped us my SR year, maybe this can get us one of the last Pool C bids!

I highly doubt it. Their regional rankings were low and they needed a whole bunch of help. Hardin-Simmons did lose, but a 2-loss Hardin-Simmons would probably get in over a 2-loss Wabash
Wabash Always Fights!

Illinois Wesleyan and Baldwin-Wallace both lost today.  They were the two 2-loss teams ahead of Wabash in the Regional Rankings this week.  Wabash should get to the table for consideration after Wheaton and Ohio Northern get picked.

Also, Chicago should move in to the final Regional Rankings with their win over WashUStL today.  Wabash will have two wins against Regionally Ranked opponents and a strong SoS --- so they have certainly made it interesting today!
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash
