I was on a work conference call... check back in.  Has Zoeller really thrown 7 Ints?

Depauw, valiant comeback in the 2nd half..... Great Season for this Tiger squad!
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Depauw gave up 97 points in their first SIX games and 92 in the last two. Yeeouch. That is brutal way for these seniors to go out.

Yes, not the way you want to remember going out. They'll have to concentrate on remembering the positives.

I wish the Wabash/Franklin series did not end.  (UAA).... Would love to see the series come back.   Two quality teams very close to each other.

In the old ICAC days it kind of one-sided in football and more of a rivalry in in hoops. Which I say as Wabash is up over Franklin 31-9 at Chadwick Court. ;D

Seriously, though. I would love to see that matchup renewed.

Wheaton beats Coe...

UWW in control:

Seeing a pattern develop with UWW vs. 2nd level.

Witt stays with UWW in the 1st half....then different story in the 2nd.

FC beat UWW in the first half to only get beat badly in the 2nd.

Depth and talent, just too far a part between levels.   FC has nothing to be down about... they punched the Warhawks in the mouth in the 1st half.

A lot of big numbers on the scoreboard today.  Some substantial mis matches in the first round.

Congratulations to ONU. You guys played a great game. Good luck the rest of the way.

Congratulations to the Tigers on another great season. Lots of exciting games. It's been a lot of fun to watch.

And a big special THANK YOU to all the Tiger seniors. You guys have A LOT of things to be proud of. You've had a remarkable run.

Not a shock. This usually happens in the 1 vs. 8 and 2 vs. 7.

First half UWW plays bad and FC plays really good. FC hangs in there and is down 21-14 at half. Second half UWW plays a lot better (though still nowhere near what it can), FC plays the same which leads to a big loss for FC. So what I have to say is that FC is an average to good program atm in a bad conference.

For those who have mentioned McKinley's questionable play, you should know he finished his career getting tossed in the fourth quarter.

A few thoughts from an afternoon of web sampling:

         1) Wow- Engle and Koors sure got the taste of last Saturday out of their mouths quickly-- first possession, two passes, TD. After blowing off the rest of the first quarter, they made a valiant comeback and might have pulled it out except for ONU running the clock out on the ground and Engle's 2 interceptions in the 4th quarter. As Wes wrote, the last 2 weeks they couldn't stop anybody- 92 points in two games! !

          2) The great Witt fizzle. 7 picks! ! That should set a playoff record for all time to come. Who is going to leave their QB in to throw more than six-at that point I would expect he would be told to go back and sit in the bus. I note that my favorite of Tiger all time, Mr McKinley, ended his career as he started it- with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. There have been more, but the other personal fouls and unsportsmanlikes appea rfor Witt  to have been done anonymously. I wonder if anyone has tried to add up all the 15 yarders McKinley has chalked up in 4 years.. I was hoping for Witt to represent the NCAC, but if they did, they didn't do it well.
          3) Who is the arrogant, supercillious bastard from Whitewater who says the Franklin is an "average team from a poor conference"? Probably said the same in 2007,eh.
          4) On a sartorial note, when did the officials start wearing trousers? They look like they were out there in their jammies.

See you all next year!

Just like he started. I think his 15 yard penalties over 4 years would reach from Springfield to Crawordsville.

TIGER WITT UP!!!!! Time to show the OAC what we're made of and the selection committee that they made a serious mistake by disrespecting Wittenberg

woops... looks like a repeat of '99... only worse... when will you realize that the OAC is just that much better

Actually, the trousers for officials came out last year as I recall.  Several crews wore them when the weather started getting cold about mid-season last year, however, it is my understanding in talking then with some officials in our MIAA last year that after a couple of games when the NCAA became aware of the attire, they issued a ban on the trousers.  Obviously, this year those were approved and, IMO, they are actually a good idea. I don't think they look so bad! ;)
