We've been getting amped up for DPU for well over 100 years now.  Being back in the same league will be a lot of fun and add a little extra sizzle to the proceedings (whether it is needed or not).  I'm looking forward to getting some of the DPU posters in here during football season.

Which brings up a good question....where do DPU posters go next year?  Do they get exiled to their own board?  Do they come here?  Do they linger uncomfortably in the SCAC lounge like that group of tuned up 22-year olds who doubled down at last call and still have one and half drinks left when the house lights come on at the bar at 1:30 a.m. and the staff is obviously waiting on them to get the eff out?  We need to figure this out.

I think it's like one of those bars with multiple rooms. They can go to the dance club room or they can go to the honkytonk room. It's up to them. I think it would be a good idea for them to come here and would love to see them more involved .

Maybe they and seventiesraider could start their own board.... just kidding.

I also think that the Depauw posters will add a tremendous amount and some energy to this board.  Breck only shows his sloth like self near the Bell Game and that game has it's own board.

Then NCAC board does not need another Sc_ _ ty  (Kinda of like Beatlejuice, we cannot say it or he will appear.)  ;)

Me too, but I think most of the DPU fans are going to need some time to come back from what is probably one of the worst 18-day stretches in the history of their men's athletics program.  It takes time to come back after a pair of rivalry beatings like those that have been recently handed down.  I expect they'll be in the weeds for a while...understandably so.

What's going on?! Wesley players getting caught with dorm room items...fights with security at another.....Good to read about Castleton State College and how football (like what Mount Union did) has student applications, retention and graduation rates up....I like to credit their facility upgrades (like the article said).......
Regarding the Tigers...bashbrother is right...the new posters will add a new dimension & energy....Everyone (except Wabash) will have to step-up. We need Witt, OWU, COW, Big Red, Kenyon, Puppy  people to be on alert.....

DadofBashWarrior..

I have North Central beating Whitewater today...Yes going against the odds and and Pat and others...

Coach Thorn has these guys ready...

This is kind of my style anyway, so I'll just go with that.

I was speaking with bashbro a couple weeks ago, I still haven't heard much about what DePauw's football plan is next year.  I never heard if the SCAC is allowing them back in or if they're going independent for a year.

They are not competing for the SCAC championship in 2011.

Will that make them eligible for pool B, or they just out of luck?

Will DePauw be a North region team in 2011 as well?(Was beaten to the Pool B question)

They're eligible for Pool B, as they are certainly an independent.

I would think they would be in the North Region but this is the NCAA we're talking about.

Even for the NCAA, wouldn't independents automatically be defined geographically for regions (unlike when they were in a south region conference)?

(But since they only rarely get the number of pool B/pool C bids right the first time, I know what you mean! :P)

Pat Coleman

Right, yes -- I agree they belong in the North but am always dubious that the NCAA will notice.

Fortunately, you and Ralph can usually straighten them out eventually! ;D
