(Much credit to the big fellas up front!)

In the second half the line he wasn't getting hit until he got into the secondary.  The holes were phenomenal.  There was at least one touchdown he didn't get touched on.

How does Levell Coppage not get the 1st Team running back?  Ridiculous.

Carries - 297
Yards - 1808
Avg./Carry - 6.1
TD's - 22
Avg. per game - 139.1

All the respect in the world to Bower & Cook who had tremendous seasons.... but Coppage is the best running back in DIII.  IMO.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

The guidelines for the AFCA's All-America picks allow a team to have just one player listed, and they gave Whitewater's spot to O-lineman Matt Weber. That precluded Coppage from getting on the list.

Coppage is just a junior, so I suspect there's some belief that he will be on the AFCA's A-A team in his senior season.

The D3football.com A-A team has no artificial restrictions as the AFCA team does. I think it's a safe bet Coppage will be featured quite prominently when we release that list on Saturday :)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Yet ANOTHER reason why I ignore AFCA polls and awards and rely on d3football.com! ;D

Got 36 of 56, which apparently puts me in the top 25%.  I should have got more.  After looking at the list, there was only about 4 or 5 that really should be missed.

Got 35....Devry? Really..Devry, please.
Altor is right...4-5 that are the "should be missed"

That's hilarious.  I actually threw in Devry in garbage time figuring what the heck.

I am going back in and getting a better score!! Let's take
Devry out and sneak in Faber College....

Glad you enjoyed it, Eagle.  Those games can be a dangerous time drain, so make sure a boss or supervisor isn't lurking!

Coppage is the real deal. At QB I would take the two Little Giant QBs ... thank you very much.  Made me thing what will happen next year when they are in tandem.

bashbrother

Now that Coppage has another Championship ring, maybe he could transfer to Wabash, it's the love of a challenge thing.   ;)

Maybe you should try to get back that one player on defense that Mount had that they kept saying was from Wabash, IN?  :P
