Thanks Aueagle, I'm glad I didn't bet on either project.

A Delaware friend of mine was an OWU athletic trainer back in the 90's and I remember visiting him in the Selby training room and thinking "What a dump for such a nice stadium" so I'm sure any improvement to that area is a huge upgrade.

It sure would be nice for the Bishops if your Super Soph. comparison came true.  I remember the OSU '68 season very well and in '68 when I had two very young and healthy hips I couldn't run a 4.8 with the wind.

As always, thanks for the OWU info.

It did occur to me that Wabash has had a pretty decent year against the Dannies.  Football-47-0; basketball- a reasonably good runaway stomping; and baseball-rallying to win 7-5 to break a long losing streak.    As they say, DePauw always shows up.

Sorry for asking this, but since I am still what could be called a new fan of the ncac I do have a question about a 2011 schedule. I was looking at the kenyon schedule for this year and I noticed something strange. The game kenyon has at hiram is scheduled for 1000pm. I am guessing that this is a mistake. I can't figure why a game would start at that time. Does anyone know if this is correct? Maybe a tradition at hiram could start a game at this time. Hiram itself has not posted it's 2011 yet and no answer has been received from kenyon yet.

It does sound like there's an extra zero. I don't know if I've ever seen a single game start that late local time in my time covering D-III.

Assuming that you had the facilities (i.e. lights) to do it, I think that a night game would be a great idea.  Perhaps not 10 p.m., but a 7:30 start time would be a blast for a game between any two teams in the conference.

Didn't Hiram recently announce the installation of turf and lights at Henry Field ?  Maybe they want to make sure it is really dark when  they try out the new lights.

They did announce the installation of turf and lights at Henry. According to some of the people I've spoken with the construction of their field will begin sometime in May. The Kenyon game will be under the lights also, not sure of the time. Should be nice to see Henry Field with lights

47-0...I am still just giddy about it...and...I just don't get giddy often...and frankly having them in our conference now will be awesome..I was not overjoyed at first...I like the way it was setup...but this will be valuable...to our Men...

I am thinking...If we beat them 47-0 when it's the best team since sliced bread....maybe...we could put 100 on them?...maybe make a little national news...

No...that would not be Gentlemanly...

How about 80...???

The only thing ever worth looking at in Hiram was the view beyond the field or at least since the Browns left.

BTW The same is true in New Concord (Muskingum)

I can't recall exactly when the Browns left, but Hiram had some pretty fair teams in the 80s (ok, I know that was 25-30 years ago).  They were PAC champs and went to the playoffs (ok, they got blown out by Augustana).

Both the Terriers and the Browns have gone to the dogs (or Baltimore) since of course.

ADL70,

Maybe the Browns need to return to Hiram, in order to regain some past glory! ;D ;D
