Will the D now "put the old Hammer down"?  Brings a whole new group of phrases:  PJ/BJ ... the "Hammer Man".  Just "use a bigger Hammer".  "Hammer it home".  and best olf all:  "We have the Hammer ... We Have the Bell"  .......... 47  -  0

OMG - Sphinx overalls expanded into "Hammer Time" pants and accompanying choreography?  ;D

Ohio Wesleyan will have a strong "D" too....
I see 9 starters back....2 All-NCAC (one 1st team/one HM).
The line-up projects 3 Sr's - 3 Jr's - 3 Soph's - The other's are
question marks....The down-side is size...Bishops
need to get bigger.

One of my favorite Bishop football quotes.....Turns out that Espo had a very good
freshman year and should be a seasoned sophomore & leader for the 2011 Bishops. I hope the second half of what he said does come true...I want CHAMPIONSHIPS.....
"I talked with the coaches, and I really liked their attitude," Espinosa said. "They were winners, they seemed like, and they expect to win. I spent some time with the players, and it seemed like they were committed and they wanted to win a championship. That's what I want to do."

Impressive stuff from Wes....running 50-second 400s is awesome so soon after reconstruction.  I know how tough that rehab is and to get back to that level so quickly is awesome.

The Hammers were a lot of fun to watch.  How good could Blair have been his senior season if he had even one good ankle to play on?  Kid played on all guts that season...tied his brother for the career high in sacks in the Bell game.  Other records in that 2003 Bell game....Chris Morris broke DJ's career rushing record and Lafitte was the first Wabash freshman to go over 1,000 yards.  And the LGs put a whoopin' on the Tigers in Coach M's last game.  Lots of good stuff that day.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Westfield High School (in Hamilton County, IN for those not from around here) has hired Wabash D-Coord Jake Gilbert as its head football coach.

Very good for Westfield which has not had a great deal of football success in past years, and a substantial hole to fill for the Little Giants.

Welcome to Westfield, Jake!

Any word on where Will went?

I am pretty sure that he went to a school in Dubuque, Ia. as the DB Coach, but don't quote me on that!  8-)

BD 84 is correct.  You are going to like the new receiver coach from IU.

Recruiting seems to be going extremely well!!!  Lots of good info circulating!

Ready for the season already!

Do we see QB rotation this season?

Please no qb rotation!

come on, Joe-didn't you see all the fun the two of them had on the sidelines during the Monon Bell? Of course, it might not have been such a lovefest if one of them wasn't able to move the team. We shall see.
